Varun, I have a good idea for you to grab some prizes if you wish to. I saw your league there, and I must say it is a complete story material as some of the stories have the same thing as your league has. Why not ask a mod to move it here and get nominated in the next SOTM? The efforts you have put in that are really much more than some of the so-called writers take here.

No I don't even want to write a story or make a story. Cause I don't know when I'll be exhausted and would feel bored.It's good as a league.

I have voted 'others' in the poll. I'd specify my reason here. The improvement needed is to stop the SOTM contests really for the time being. Then we'll find who writes stories with what purpose. As it is, the stories which get nominated face the hatred of some members if their writers speak the truth regarding some stories on this forum.

I really feel that idea of stopping SOTM is really a good one. Many story writers just write story for winning SOTM as i mentioned earlier so when we will stop SOTM spam posts will automatically get less and people will stop posting league's which are "so called stories" in their own way.

Alright, let me think on the immediate thing which has to be done. It will be likely to to be in effect from next month.

One thing which I want to spread out is - SOTM is just to reward best among the best writers' efforts. Unfortunately, it has made members feel that, writers go out of mood & discontinue the story after winning SOTM.

Let me think of better way to run the contest & just give me some couple of days time. Thank you for the patience.

Alright below mentioned changes are likely to implemented from next month,

1) Till now, we did have soft corners for writers like - Closing the previous incompleted story thread & allowed writers to start a new one on various reasons basis. From now, it is not going to happen.

Whatever may be the case ( except the completed one ) - Writers cannot exceed two threads at maximum. No deletion of all posts too during the next attempt of starting another one in new thread. Yes, strictly no deletion or no closing of threads. If any such occurence is found, we(mod team) will merge it without any notification.

2) SOTM would be no-more taking place on monthly basis. It will be done every 3 months once. i.e 4 times in a year. Nominee of these will get a pass to PC annual award nomination, provided story continues to be in active state.

SOTM is not neglected, but the contest will be there every 3 months once instead of once in every month. This might reduce writers' short period effort boostings and give way for writers to think about their consistency.

It won't be there TGS, I think. Or maybe it will b there and the next one will be after 3 months. But, I like these certain rules. Especially the three month rule. That will really help the good writers and only the good stories will be nominated.

True. This new rule will also tell the reader's that which story is being written for winning SOTM and which story is written for enjoyment of reader and writer himself. In the past writers thought not to create a new thread and lets say a mod to delete out our stories threads all posts but now it wont happen as declared by Surendar. New rules are really looking promising and i hope this forum will improve now and good writers and readers will come forward to this forum.

I almost think that there should be a rule that, all people willing to start a story must send a plan to one of the story mods along with a few updates to show that they actually willing to stick the story out and have somewhere to go with a storyline.
