Struggling for motivation

I never do homework on time unless I actually enjoy what I have to do. Even if I do get round to doing it it's always last minute. I believe that it's just the way I am, and I don't think, unlike my parents, that it will actually effect my grades at all. In my eyes it's in lessons where it counts.

Is it slightly worrying that I've not got motivation to do some work for tomorrow morning, not doing it could lead us stuffed tomorrow. I'll do it, but I'm having a pint first.

I laugh at myself some times.

Beer before work? Geez, you have it all wrong. You know it will never get done now!

Ah, procrastination. It's great isn't it? Just don't show up at school, that solves it. ;)

Yes, it does. Gives you one more day to do it.;)

It worked for me last Wednesday, got an Objective of an DT Coursework done.

It also helps when you have useless subjects that day. Such as PSE, PE, etc.

Not encouraging wagging school in any way.

:spy

Use the force.......

Heh, back in high school i was the laziest person when it came to homework and hardly did any, i simply did what was required of me in order to pass (including ducking and weaving through the art of 'crap' talk)

Now that i'm Uni i pretty much do much homework as soon as i get it. Don't know why it's different, maybe because i can see a light at the end of the tunnel? Maturity? Who knows, but i often find when you simply start to do it, you really get into it and really want to finish it. Try it.

You are probably doing a uni course in a subject that you enjoy, or is beneficial to your preferred career.

This.

Why would you pick a uni course that you don't want to do? You like the subject, you want to do it. Simple.

Not as easy as that. Some courses don't really lead you anywhere or don't lead you to any respectable jobs that pay you a good amount. There has to be scope for what you select as well. You also have to be good at it, of course. I mean, I like art, I like doing art but I wouldn't want to go to Art school because it's very difficult to break through once you've finished college/university and actually get a decent salary. Plus, the artists who do make a lot of money are simply on another level in terms of ability.

I did Media Studies, probably won't get me a decent job, but I love it. It doesn't have to be aimed towards getting the best salary.
