After 5-0 Clean wash Pakistan really need to change there team and good players in my point of view are

( According to batting order )

Code:
Imran Nazir
Kamran Akmal (Keeper)
Misbah-Ul-Haq (VC)
Umer Akmal
Fawad Alam
Shahid Afridi (C)
Rana Naved
Mohammed Ammer
Sohail Tanveer
Shoaib Akhter
Saeed Ajmal

[ Extras ]
Mohammed Asif
Umer Gul
Shoaib Malik

REST OF THE PLAYERS SHOULD GET RETIREMENT NOW

What is you guys opinion about that team?

From what we saw of Akhtar before his latest incident, Asif should easily be in there over him. And while Rana is good with the bat, when your number 6 is so hit and miss, moving Rana is way too much of a risk.

Yep Asif is a gun bowler. Should be almost the first guy picked for me.

From the original 11:
Ditch:
Shoaib Akhtar - If he's ever fit he might get to push for a spot, but I'm not holding my breath.
Tanvir - Decent reserve but I think Aamer has him beat on potential and Asif is good. For me it's either he or Rana for the #8 lower order hitter role.
Misbah - he's getting old now, time to move on.

Shoaib Malik - he's a good fielder, useful bowler and if he can work out his batting vs the short stuff I think he's good, plus your team needs more batting. I think he could be vice captain too.
Asif - as mentioned, he's an excellent bowler.
Salman Butt - He's played pretty well this summer, probably the best of the batsmen with Umar Akmal. Don't judge 2 early dismissals vs Harris to be the doom of his career.

Funny, but the 3 guys I'd substitute are all guys who've played this series. I don't think Pakistan are far away really - personnel wise. They just needs better tactics, better fielding and some application with the bat.

Mohammed Asif should be one of the few players that should be guaranteed, such a great bowler a class above imo.

I think Malik should stay too, great fielders should be preferred.

Malik batting has been good in ODIs anyway. It was only a few months ago where he and Yousuf formed that vital partnership against India.

The only players that deserve to keep their spots IMO are

Salman Butt
Younis Khan
M Yousuf
U Akmal
S Malik
M Aamer
M Asif
D Kaneria

Everyone else is expendable,

1. Salman Butt
2. Kamran Akmal
3. Mohd. Yousuf
4. Umar Akmal
5. Shoaib Malik
6. Fawad Alam
7. Shahid Afridi
8. Gul / Rana Naveed
9. Mohd. Aamer
10. Mohd. Asif
11. Saeed Ajmal

12. Gul / Rana
And this is how I see them actually contributing:
Anchor: Butt, MoYo, Umar, Fawad, Malik
Blasters: Umar, K. Akmal, Afridi, Rana
Fielders: Fawad Alam, Malik, Afridi, Rana
Bowlers: Aamer, Afridi, Asif, Ajmal, Gul

Asif should definitely be the attack leader. Gul probably deserves his place as well, when he's bowling well. And with Aamer there, that's a pretty capable attack, as well as the spinners in Afridi and Ajmal.

Akhtar? You feeling OK? He is done for, no need to have any hope of him coming back to the national team, and even if he does he wont stay in the team for long.

I dont get how you excluded Asif who was the best bowler Pakistan had on the tour of NZ and Australia.

Also after the team posts low scores all series long you would have that long of a tail?
Malik showed that he is a capable batsman in this format and he should be there.

Butt
Kamran+
Younis
Yousuf
Umar
Malik
Afridi
Aamer
Gul
Asif
Spinner

Also I am not even sure about Kamran Akmal opening the innings, 4 of his 5 hundreds did come as a opener but he averages 25.
Pakistan need to look towards the world cup. They need to find a solid spinner and good young openers.

Why can't Pakistani not even produce a single quality batsmen from 180 million cricket crazy people

Not even Jesus would be able to win matches for the Pakistanis the way they are going right now.. what's the point? A better idea for them would be giving up international competition, that way at least they wouldn't humiliate themselves as much. It would also stop them cheating, partially.

Player's that need to be in both squads (Test and One Day)

Mohammad Yousuf
Younis Khan
Umar Akmal
Mohammad Aamer
Umar Gul
Mohammad Asif

That's the base of the team at the moment and something Pakistan should be able to build on up until the world cup.

ODI XI

1.Salman Butt
2.Imran Farhat
3.Younis Khan
4.Mohammad Yousuf
5.Umar Akmal
6.Fawad Alam
7.Kamran Akmal
8.Shahid Afridi
9.Mohammad Aamer
10.Rana Naved Ul Hasan
11.Mohammad Asif

Squad Replacements: Nasir Jamshed, Shoaib Malik, Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal.

Jamshed could open instead of Butt or Farhat to give Pakistan a more aggressive opener but IMO (and my knowledge of Pakistan domestic cricket is pretty low :p this is probably the best team they could use). Akmal, Afridi and Rana would make a very good seven, eight, nine in one day cricket with the use of the batting powerplay being taken around the 40th over usually.

Test XI

1.Khurram Manzoor
2.Imran Farhat
3.Younis Khan
4.Mohammad Yousuf
5.Umar Akmal
6.Naved Yasin
7.Sarfraz Ahmed (+)
8.Mohammad Aamer
9.Umar Gul
10.Mohammad Asif
11.Danish Kaneria

Squad Replacements: Salman Butt, Shoaib Malik, Fawad Alam, Mohammad Talha and Kamran Akmal

Leaving out Salman Butt after a pretty good tour of Australia might seem harsh, I just don't rate him as a test batsmen and his average of 29 after 20 odd matches proves he isn't much of a force. Naved Yasin is a former Pakistan under 19 player (He's only 22) and he's already racked up six 100's during the domestic season, averaging 54 during his 28 matches FC career.

I wouldnt go for Younis. He has a horrible ODI average and at times just eats up too many deliveries before getting settled. If he doesnt settle he is likely to score 10 from 30+ balls. Even if he does settled down the max strike rate he can end up with is 75.

I will bring in Malik. He has been a bit disappointing of late and gave his wicket away yesterday after doing all the hardwork. If he can act a bit maturely, like he did during his captaincy days, he might as well become our big ODI player. If he can survive the initial 20+ odd balls he can plan an innnings brilliantly. Look at his century against India for example, it was such a well constructed innings.

You know they say, If you could judge players on stats, then you wouldnt need selectors, Kindergarten students should do. Pakistan domestic structure is crap and we have players Like Faisal Iqbal becoming legends there. I will recommend bringing in either Fawad Alam or Shahid Afridi. Alam has got one of the best tempraments in our team, behind the likes of Younis and Yousef. Another name that I can throw in would be Asim Kamal. A Left-hander with a solid technique and great temperament and could play aggresive strokes as well as bidding his time at the crease.

In regards to opening I would recommend Butt as an opener. He hasnt been the most consistent, but dropping him now, would be a hige mistake. Its interesting to see where he goes from here on, if he fails again his career should be over. Mansoor hasnt got great technique, but his determination does count. Also Farhat should be in danger, he is riding on that NZ century and has wasted too many starts in Aus
