The next week or so will tell us what David Warner's future with the IPL (atleast for this season) will be! To be very honest, I definitely see him being suspended by his home board and if that happens, he either could be ruled out of the tournament this year or lose his captaincy (if his home board decides to let him keep his NOC).

Will be a massive blow for Sunrisers Hyderabad if David Warner is ruled out. But they have captaincy replacements and can fill Warner's void by buying among the unsold players (Eoin Morgan was unsold).

They should rather buy Guptill or Amla. Kane can become the captain.

This means Gautam Gambhir will get the Orange Cup this year.

Huge blow for SRH with captain Warner gone. He may not be a good person at heart, but he is an attacking batsmen who can be relied on to take the attack to the opposition in the Powerplay, laying out a strong foundation and setting it up for our bowlers, who have been great in the last few seasons.

I think Hales is a very good pick, Guppy would be another good one but SRH needed an aggressive opener alongside Dhawan. Hales is a very good T20 player as an opener and looks like he can bat well with Dhawan, who takes time to build his innings and goes bang after settling in.

Always the option of Saha opening available, but I feel Hales will fail down the order if he bats outside of #1-3. Hales could bat 3 and Saha open. Its going to be interesting to see what SRH will do with Saha.

My revised lineup now:

Dhawan
Hales/Saha
Williamson/Hales/Saha
Pandey
Shakib
Yusuf Pathan/Hooda
Saha/Hooda
Bhuvi
Rashid
Sandeep
Kaul

A really confused lineup :) , but just shows that Saha can bat anywhere if needed. If it were up to me, I'd like Saha to open and have him try to get as many runs as he can. If he fails early on, there is Hales and Williamson who can finish the Powerplay and keep Dhawan company in the first ten overs. Then Manish Pandey and Shakib take it through to the death overs and there is either Yusuf Pathan or Hooda who is capable of hitting the ball into the night sky.

Of course, there's the bowling attack to contend with. Bhuvi and Sandeep making breakthroughs with the new ball with Rashid and Shakib keeping it tight in the middle overs.

Thoughts, @Yash. and any SRH fans?

I wouldn’t tamper with Kane’s spot if I were you. Make him play at 3. If Hales doesn’t play, and Saha opens, we can play Nabi or Jordan or Braithwaite depending on the pitch. Also to add a little oomph to our bowling, Stanlake can be tried.

Dhawan
Hales / Saha
Kane
Manish
Saha / Shakib
Shakib / Hooda
Pathan / Nabi / Jordan
Bhuvi
Rashid
Kaul
Sandeep[DOUBLEPOST=1522552155][/DOUBLEPOST]Wouldn’t switch Kane’s spot if I were you. Also, I would rather keep Pathan as a backup.

Out of those three Jordan should definitely play a few matches. He's had a couple of good performances in the PSL, bowls fast and is most ideal on green tracks when four seamers are required. A bit wary of playing Nabi and Brathwaite, Nabi is hit or miss with the bat and our batting gets thin and SRH have to somehow play him down the order. Carlos is very overrated, he may hit big but other than that he doesn't add much to the team.

Could it be possible to have Kane open? He gotten big knocks up there but the only problem is his batting style is alike with Dhawan, who is slow at the start. But in this way it could be Saha at 3 and Hales 4. I don't think Saha can be a finisher.

As much as I like the squad, I hate the fact that now, we lack the good Pace All Rounders which we had for the last 2 years. We shouldn’t have let Moises go. He is very good.

Moises has been a consistent performer for SRH. It would've been nice to have retained him or Ben Cutting as they add that x factor with their big hitting and giving a few overs . We got Jordan, but he's more a bowling all-rounder than anything. SRH lacked spin bowling all-rounders now we have Shakib with his immense IPL experience and Rashid Khan can be a all-rounder as well. This season SRH have got a stable middle order and bowling attack, but the absence of Warner basically creates a massive dent in the team. I just hope we get good starts with the likes of Hales, Saha and Dhawan at the top. They need to show responsibility and leadership at the top.

I sincerely hope he doesn't walk into the playing XI. He, more of than not, leaks a lot of runs.

WE should try and get Moises in the mid season break, if there is one.
