Biggest news going around Australian rugby is Chris Latham has been ruled out of the entire Super 14 season after scoring a try in training and getting injured.
That should mean Clinton Schifcofske will get to show what he can do at his favoured position of fullback.

That's a big blow, to be ruled out for over half a year. This could jeopardize his World Cup in a lot of ways.

But quite lucky for Schifcofske to show he's Rugby material at his fav. spot.

Shepard and Mitchell will have to battle out the No. 15 spot for Australia now.

Had a few trial games on recently.
Force (near full strength) lost to an AB less Crusaders Cross seemed to go well and Robbie Deans was saying the Force could win the title ;)

Schifcofske looks like he went well again Samoa on the weekend.
And Beale has started his NSW career with a win, hope they start him in the first game.

Good to see the waratahs get off to a good start. They beat the crusaders 17-12 tonight.

Beale apparently had a good game setting up the winning try.

A win over the crusaders is always good news. It's been frustrating following the waratahs over the years, hopefully this will be their time

Tahs are looking good so far, not scoring too many tries so far this season though. Hopefully that changes when kick off arrives and hopefully Beale is in that 10 shirt, if it's not him it better be SNK.

I thought the Tahs had loads of injuries?
Anyway its a tought 1st game for the Crusaders, up against the Blues with 7 of the best missing.

They do, the Force would be better than the Tahs atm.

Sam Norton-Knight, Peter Hewat, Morgan Turinui (vice captain); Ben Jacobs, Daniel Halangahu; Josh Valentine; Wycliff Palu, Phil Waugh (captain), Rocky Elsom; Will Caldwell, Ben Hand; Alastair Baxter, Tatafu Polota-Nau, Benn Robinson.
Reserves: Adam Freier, Aaron Broughton-Rouse, Dean Mumm, Tim Davidson, Brett Sheehan, Kurtley Beale, Sam Harris.

First game of the year was a ripper, both teams played good footy with the Blues just having enough strike power to get them home. Brett is a talent another 10 from the Crusaders! McAlister really sparked things when he came on as 12 and Isa kicked really well. Couldn't stop laughing seeing Flavell get sin binned again.

Other game well less said about it the better. Force looked the same as last season with all those handling errors, Cross did make a good debut though.

The Waratahs win 25-16 over the Lions. :D

Not a bad game, TPN was a bit quiet I was expecting more devastating running from him in general play. Beale looks good when he came on, Halangahu ran the ball well not too much kicking as expected.

Brumbies beat the favourites not bad at all given Larkham was missing, Huxley filled the spot nicely especially his kicking game.

lol, the Force really should of got some loosies from the Brumbies (they've got lots) before spending lots of money on Drew Mitchell. Their whole back row was terrible!
Do you guys think the Brumbies can beat the Blues?

The Force actually have this openside flanker that is rated very highly by Force fans. His name is David Pocock.

Brumbies at home should be able to beat the Blues especially with Larkham back at 10 and leaving Huxley to go to 15.

Not a good weekend for the Aussie teams especially when the Force is the only Aussie team to win.
Brumbies v Blues game was a nail bitter, the one that got away for the Brumbies but the Blues were the better side.
Tahs just didn't look good in attack apart from when Beale came on, Reds are the new England minus the scrum.

haha the force are the best of the Australian teams...a perfect tour of South Africa who would've thought it, including a win against the Bulls at altitude!

The brumbies look to be thereabouts this year, as do the Reds but the waratahs have fallen away, one positive for them though is young Kurtley Beale, he's got some serious talent.
