Okay guys, i've been reading through the last few threads and I agree - the rule is stupid.

But, attacking Simbazz for it isn't really going to change the outcome. He's just an official abiding by the rules that were in fact posted earlier.

So just cut the guy some slack. The tournament as a whole has been great, and face it Sydney, even though you guys could've won today it doesn't really make a difference in the end.

No, because he made the rules and he is the only one who agrees with them. Rhys and treva both disagree with it, Rhys even expressed to me that it could be alright and that they'd use my team, but Simon clearly feels that he is now bigger than the competition. He feels that just because he thought of an idea that he should be able to be the sole controller of it all. Overruling the two people that have been helping him with the competition shows this.

As I said before, their decision not to use our team will not be taken lightly.

As for averages, I still find it hard to believe that we haven't won a single game with two second tier players, as some teams only have 3rd tiers.

No need to take this incident so seriously. I dont agree with the ruling either but there is no need to blow this out of proportion.

I don't see any reason not to, I tried bargaining reasonably with both w3lshrugby (who told me that he'd try to convince Simbazz) and Simbazz, who flat out refused to be reasonable. I won't be accepting a free win either to appease me.

Can you not give simbazz some respect for not rolling of and letting you guys off? He's stuck by what he said and unlike some cricket boards he's not gonna let you walk all over him.

How am I abusing my powers? I haven't made a moderation action this whole time. All I've done is launched a protest as a regular member.

Niether Rhys nor Treva came directly to me about this, in hindsight i agree it could have been handled better but just because you're a Mod i'm not going to allow for wrong-doing and punish others just because you think you're more special.

I think its time to have a look at yourself, i really do, the incident with the Bitters in the OD comp, and now this. Dude, its a forum....its for fun, and really, you're just making my life 10-times harder. The rules are there to be followed, as in society, you break them you pay the price for that.

This has nothing to do with me being a mod at all, but this so-called 'wrongdoing' is not having the time to always post teams on time. 20 minutes late and my whole team is being punished? As I said, the circumstances were that tassie couldn't make it on, and even if I knew that I was allowed to post the team, I couldn't get on until it was too late.

Surely you're the one who's taking this too seriously by enforcing such strict rules for a virtual competition. I've invested a lot of vCash into this, and despite it only being a game I expect it to be one that I, and the players I am playing, can enjoy. Instead it has turned out to be spiteful in many cases, and the only firm decisions you have made have seemed to be ones that put you above everyone else. Your constant closing of threads, deleting of posts and bossing people around has shown that you clearly are enjoying your powers in here. Whether they're making the competition any better or not is debatable. Tell me how anyone would have suffered from you using my team? It didn't hold anyone up.

As sohum said, if you want to get technical, we should be complaining that treva didn't sim the game at 11:00 BST, because that was late too. Why is he allowed to be hours late but I can't be 20 minutes late?

I will not be changing my decision, if np10 or tassie post a team I won't argue with it.

As i've said, the issue with Treva would need to be upheld with Treva!

I enforce rules because they're rules. And, no i don't particularly enjoy modding, but i will do when i see fit. Dean, don't pretend like you're getting hard done to, because its the same rule for everyone.

Just a bit of friendly advice, you don't have to go with this, but playing just three pure bowlers is suicide against Toronto and most teams, for that matter. At the very minimum, you should go with four and if possible, five. Having four or five pure bowlers will help you curtail the run rate and considering your bowling all rounder is Flintoff, you have a huge advantage in terms of batting strength.
