I doubt that Bracken will get a go, his test results have been rather average. That is why I feel that it's time to give Tait or Johnson a(nother in Tait's case) go.
I like that lineup because there is no weak fielder out of all the batsmen. Bowling might vary, but I'd expect that is a highly probable batting order. For the love of God if the Australian selectors had any sense they would leave MJ well away from the Aussie side. a) Because he's not very good and b) because his initials are misleading. I seriously don't rate MJ. I wouldn't even have him in my Lancashire team.
I'd line up like this; You can stone me later.
Hayden
Hussey (Just so the legend Hodge can play)
Ponting
Hodge
Clarke
Symonds
Gilchrist
Lee
Clark
Bracken
MacGill
Twelfth man; Me
I never realized how much of a whole Warne would leave in the tail.

Hmmm, I just think with Tait and Lee both playing there is a chance of leaking runs. If both struggle it could be a disaster. Bracken could offer some control although I suppose Clark could do that.
And Mitchell Johnson just doesn't look very good. I think i've said. He has a silly chin stud too. I haven't said that.
He destroyed you guys, no matter how ugly he is, so he looks alright to me.
Obviously there is that risk, but Shaun Tait is better than Lee anyway, we need them in the same team to realise that.
Well Hussey will be at 4 I assume, but Hodge would be pretty lucky to be given the reprieve that he so sorely deserves. The most unlucky cricketer in the world IMO, he never did anything wrong in the Test or World Cup lineups but got dropped in both. Watson and Symonds is a gamble though, personally I see:
Hayden
Rogers/Jaques (not Watson)
Ponting
Hussey
Clarke
Symonds
Gilchrist
Lee
Clark
Tait/M. Johnson (MJ would be ahead of Clark in batting lineup)
MacGill (If Cullen gets it the selectors have serious issues)
Chris Gayle is an aggressive batsman and a good bowler. What makes him boring?

Yeah, because it's impossible to take 4 wickets against the England ODI side isn't it? Darren Powell even managed to do it.
Tait is nowhere near better than Lee yet, Lee has a brain whereas Tait only has two lengths. If Tait's getting a pasting he won't come back from it.
Hilfenhaus is a good shout, i'd play him. He's better than Tait and obviously better than Johnson. Andrew Nixon is better than Johnson.
Not that I think Johnson has at all bowled his way to any of his call-ups, but your opinions of Tait and Johnson seem largely baseless, especially for someone who has a positive opinion of Saj Mahmood.Stats don't tell the story. He just doesn't look very good. Australia would be a lot better off without him.
