Bushrangers in full Throttle​

After the steady start, Hodge and Blizard started to go after the bowlers. Both were going nicely along with runrate. Hodge was looking more aggresive than Blizard and hence going for each balls. Blizard on the other hand was playing defensively to create simantaneously pressure on Middlesex​

.

Blizard lost his partner wheh Hodge gave a simple catch to Henderson at point. Hodge was in total disbelief after making a poor short attempt. A breakthrough was needed and Silverwood proved it just in time.

It was expected that after the dismissal of Hodge run rate will going come down as the partnership has been broken. It was just a prediction as Aiden Blizard decided not to loose any momentum and should try to seek more advantage. Its a wet pitch so hitting boaundaries was not an easy task, hence Blizard went for the arial route.

Cameron White was on 1st down and Skipper Ed Smith, soon introduced Tim Henderson and experienced spinner Shaun Udal to pause the damages and to put pressure on the new batsman. White was not looking comfortable but he soon struck a six to open his account. Shaun Udal and Tim Henderson both went for double figures on their first respective over. At the end of 10 overs, Bushrangers are 90/1.​

Thats really good batting by Victoria! Going really fast. Middlesex need some wickets to have a chance.

Blizz and Huss entertain​

Skipper White and Adien Blizzard had put a good partnership after the wicket of Brad Hodge. But soon it was Cameron White who departed due misunderstanding between the two batsman. White was run out and he went back for 13 runs to his name. David Hussey was the new man in replace the skipper. He took time to settle, but Blizzard on the other hand was in great form as he smashed Henderson and Udal for boundaries. Blizzard raised his well deserved 50 with a sweep which went all the way for a huge six.

Henderson was removed from the attack and the Indian spinner Murali Kartik was given the ball.Henderson gave just 6 runs of his second over including a boundary. Kartik who was cheered when given the ball, didn't get the type of welcome he expected from the bastman. He was smashed for 11 runs in his first over by Blizzard and Hussey. Some sublime strokes were played by the two batsman. Udal continued to slow down the run rate and gave just 11 runs in his next 2 overs which included just 2 fours. Kartik was in his second over and again David Hussey smashed him all over the place. Kartik like the first over of his gave 11 runs. Crowd of Mumbai were entertain by some superb shots by these two batsman. The two batsman had put one 39 runs in no time.

: This is entertaining stuff by Blizzard and Hussey. If these two stay there for the rest of the innings then Middlesex will have to chase a huge total which will be very difficult on this pitch. So after the end of 15 overs Bushrangers are 131/2.

200+ looking on the cards here. Blizzard is batting very nicely, and if he can up the run rate once again he may be able to make a century. With 8 wickets in hand they really should be able to smash it all over the place.

Middlesex should win for just playing in pink.

Bushrangers have batted very well thus far and as long as they can get 10 an over then they should get a good total. Hussey and Blizzard should take them home with good aggressive scores for both.

One little note. The total should be 133/2 in the batting scorecard, instead of 131/2, and the total in the bowling scorecard should be 133/2, instead of 133/1.

Crusaders Fought Back


Aiden Blizard looks unstoppbale and was favourite of getting a ton but Crusaders stikes back in the form of Shaun Udal. Aiden's fearless hits costed him this time as Nick Compton took an absolute ripper.Blizard was clueless when he saw Compton held to that catch.Skipper Smith was overjoyed as his trick worked. The crusaders and crowd showed gesture to Blizard by standing ovation.

In the very next over, Murali Kartik was introduced. David hussey was playing defensive while on the other hand MCdonald decided to take on Kartik. He smashed two consecutive fours to gain confidence and momentum. MCdonald became over confident. He advanced from the crease and tried for arial route but he simply missed it and Scott finished his job nicely. With more disaster to come, a poor communciation led a run out of Rob Quiney. Hussey wanted a quick single to have the strike back but Quinney was not so fast and he was run out.

Within few overs, the game has changed. Looks like after Blizards departs Crusaders have lost all energy and skills. It was expected that Hussey could be out soon but he showed he is a player made of a very hard material and its very hard to test his paitence. With few overs in hand Hussey decided to attck Henderson. Hussey mistimed and a catching chance once appeared but luck was on his side. Murtagh couldn't locate the ball and dropped it, skipper Smith was furious as a golden chance was wasted.

Murali kartik was once again given the bowl, as Hussey was lagging on his spells. Kartik keeps pressurizisng Hussey and Crostwaite. Crosthwaite was looking very uncomfotable and decided to attack Kartik. He steps down from teh crease but the ball invaded his stumps. Kartik jumped in joy as he just finsihed his spell nciely.

Last over left, Henderson was given ball to bowl the last over. Hussey took a quick single and gave strike to Hastings. Hasting immidilately loft the ball to long off and was caught out. Bryce Mcgain the new many came, with 4 balls left in the over it was time for both batsman just go for shots,no matter what happends. Mcgain smahsed the 1st ball into the mid wicket area, one bounce and four. . Henderson clls skipper smith and chnged the field settings. Hnederson bowled a no ball and Mcgain takes a qucik single. The whole crowd was electrified as Hussey was on strike with a FREE HIT to go. Henderson keeps the ball in length and hussey simply takes the ball through the cover region for four. Last ball, edged.... but no slip or thiord man, went for another four. Bushrangers were quite happy with the total, it could have been better but Crusaders fought back well. Skipper smith look tensed as he felt last over was too expencive considering the pitch and run chase. Hussey was unbeaten on 39 and Mcgain on 5

thats a respectable score by the bushrangers. middlesex arent out of it yet. they need to bat well. im backing the bushrangers at the moment kutgw

That is a good score. Should be interesting to see how Middlesex react to that total. Blizzard batted really well, but there weren't really any good bowling figures by any bowlers. Hussey and Hodge batted good too.

Middlesex still have a good chance though. Nice stuff! KUTGW!!
