Tait's Action Looks Suspicous

Murali and Malinga get away with chucking it, so Tait should do too because his is nowhere near as suspicious as theres.

Malinga no chucker. If he belongs to Sri Lanka does not mean he chucks. Hes slinger and there have been more slingers from England and Australia in past.

It looks like the elbow is flexing, but of course, none of us should be commenting on this, till the proof comes out.

But, one thing that should be done, is that Tait's action HAS to be tested.

PAKISTAN pace ace Shoaib Akhtar has rubbished suggestions Shaun Tait is a chucker, calling for the speed demon to be unleashed on India in the Boxing Day Test.

Speaking from Bangalore, the straight-shooting Akhtar provided a candid appraisal of the challenges facing world cricket, saying the game had become boring because of batting dominance.

But the Rawalpindi Express was as concerned by New Zealand's insinuation on Thursday that Tait is the latest quick to possess a suspect action.

Convinced Tait is not a chucker, Akhtar urged Australian selectors to gamble on the super-slinger against an Indian side he claims is terrified of raw pace...

Interesting news article - I personally think that Tait should still be tested however, but the fact that New Zealand did this before concerns me...

I'm getting tired of seeing and hearing these accusations. No player or contact to the team made the comment, not with any kind of proof. The media started it and now all of a sudden they've made themselves a story. I'm sad that people fell for their typical tricks.

And Akhtar is defiantly more of a candidate for chucking then Tait. Tait defiantly doesn't throw, there is no need for him to take the test.

Media made themself a story huh?

Please read -

And if we refer to the clips from the first ODI of the match (which I can't post), there were plenty of accusations from the players on the field to Shoaib.

So don't give me the bull that these are accusations, when there is proof to them.

Not about Akhtar. About Tait. Read the quote, Tait!. These accusations about Tait did NOT COME FROM THE NEW ZEALAND TEAM. The media made themselves a story.

Media always need something to make issue out of. Players should be carefull about what they speak.

Vettori and Bracewell hardly did all they could to stop the media speculating, did they? Sure, the media have probably blown it out of all proportion, they nearly always do, but it has originated from the New Zealand camp.

I disagree. They try to avoid the question. That'll know the media are just trying to upset the teams and cause something themselves. Vettori said he hasn't had an in-depth look at it. He also said that being a fast bowler is probably why there are questions over his action. The NZ side had nothing to do with it. And besides, he's no Steyn. He's a bit faster, but no where near as accurate and doesn't get the same movement.

Players should stand up, speak up. Like Shoaib Akhtar.

If the Administrators will allow this video please, in response to the media accusation.

Prehaps it has been blown out of proportion - make of it what you will.

I watched it. From that i' getting he vibe that Vettori wants to avoid it, since he's new to being captain so tells them to ask Bracewell.

Also the comment he made first doesn't suggest in one bit that he thinks he throws or anyone does. He was saying that becasehe bowls fast someone is questioning it. Not he bowls fast, he must throw.

The first thing to be said is that no one came out and accused him, however, the New Zealand players did add fuel to speculation, and they certainly do believe that something may be up.

The second thing is that Tait has volunteered to be tested, so it is up to the ICC and match referees over whether they believe that action must be taken. Tait's action does look suspect, so testing would be sensible, but it is up to the authorities to decide that.
