Genuinely not sure what you're going on about. If you want to play as a team, you play a casual, tour or competition game. You can create your own tours or competitions and play as a team in the academy/arcade modes. If you want a team simulator and do signings and "Manage" a team, you turn on your PC and buy Cricket Coach. They're two completely different styles of game.
It's like requesting a first person shooter mode be included in a role playing game.
That's really unfair to say actually. A career mode using a whole team is pretty stock standard for every sport game. Requesting to not have a full career mode would be like asking for an FPS mode, not the other way around. It really is quite a large missing feature, but something I'd assume they'd be working on for future versions, as it would go hand in hand in developing the career mode experience with players growing, ageing and retiring, only to be replaced.
