[Team Thread] The Lunar Sharks - Season 2010

We will play 2 a side matches in practice. 11 a side is boring.

I'd just like to say that there are quite a few 'former captains' of other teams in this team... so if the Pakistan team is anything to go by....

We might be in trouble :p

Here's a snapshot of our last test preseason tournament game. Up against the Llamas, defending only 148. Llamas sitting pretty at the end of 17 overs with 136/3. Just three overs to go from our spin wizards, Rhys Williams and Funknath. Check out the commentary...

17.1 Funknath to S Ambekar, no run, shuffles right across the stumps, gets outside off and flicks it to short midwicket.
17.2 Funknath to S Ambekar, OUT: S Ambekar lbw b: Funknath 32 (31b, 1x4, 1x6) SR: 103.23
17.3 Funknath to B Butt, OUT: B Butt lbw b: Funknath 0 (1b, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 0.00
17.4 Funknath to M Dar, 3 leg byes
17.5 Funknath to MaD, no run, really full delivery, mistimes the drive towards mid-off.
17.6 Funknath to MaD, OUT: M Dar run out (S Umar) 0 (1b, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 0.00

End of over 18 (3 runs) Llamas Anonymous 139/6 (9 runs required from 2 overs, RR: 7.72, RRR: 4.50)
MaD: 5* (9b)
M Dar: 0* (1b)
Funknath: 3-1-13-3
SciD: 4-0-28-1

18.1 R Williams to J Teague, no run, beautiful googly from Williams. Teague barely managed to get behind that, having read it off the pitch.
18.2 R Williams to J Teague, OUT: J Teague c: Insomniac b: R Williams 0 (2b, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 0.00
18.3 R Williams to Maney2k9, no run, kicks up from a length, around off and middle line, Maney2k9 was leaning forward to defend, is surprised by the extra bounce and jabs it away off his handle.
18.4 R Williams to Maney2k9, no run, that was so close to clipping the off stump from Williams. MaD gives Maney2k9 advice on trying to hit those.
18.5 R Williams to Maney2k9, no run, it pitches outside leg and is padded away by Maney2k9.
18.6 R Williams to Maney2k9, OUT: Maney2k9 c: King_Cricket b: R Williams 0 (4b, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 0.00

End of over 19 (0 runs) Llamas Anonymous 139/8 (9 runs required from 1 overs, RR: 7.32, RRR: 9.00)
Maney2k9: 0* (4b)
MaD: 5* (9b)
R Williams: 4-1-16-3
Funknath: 3-1-13-3

19.1 Funknath to MaD, no run, a dot ball as MaD fails to make contact, attempting a dangerous uppercut.
19.2 Funknath to MaD, no run, the great Muttiah Muralitharan would have been proud of that delivery! Snorter of a doosra from Funknath.
19.3 Funknath to MaD, 2 runs, he'll get two there. MaD leant back on it and intricately weaved it past the infield.
19.4 Funknath to MaD, OUT: MaD run out (R Williams) 7 (13b, 0x4, 0x6) SR: 53.85
19.5 Funknath to N Bhat, no run, full and wide no need to play at that. To be honest not much point in the batsmen being out here for that delivery.
19.6 Funknath to N Bhat, no run, defends this one to the on side.

End of over 20 (2 runs) Llamas Anonymous 141/9 (7 runs required from 0 overs, RR: 7.05, RRR: Infinity)
N Bhat: 0* (2b)
A Mani: 0* (0b)
Funknath: 4-1-15-3
R Williams: 4-1-16-3

To be fair, I do need to tweak the sim a bit, because the batsmen seemed to be defensive in that last over when they should've been going for broke! We did keep the Llamas out of the final, though.

Now Funky will go on and on about him being next Murli. :p

I am a RF bowler FFS! Rhys has posted about it in Mod forum also(what Rhys told me)

Funknath added 1 Minutes and 22 Seconds later...

but I am happy being the next Muralitharan :D.. I am good with me being as a spinner ;)

Evening lads - hope you had fun without me! :D Will read through everything...preseason stuff looks good, kits good!
