Teams you root for

In order of your preference, what teams do you root for while watching cricket? Here's mine -

1. Sri Lanka
2. South Africa
3. England
4. Bangladesh
5. Australia
6. Pakistan
7. New Zealand
8. Zimbabwe
9. West Indies
10. India

I dont have any hatred against India or its players (infact Tendulkar comes in my all-time top 5 favourite cricketers) but they just seem to have a lot more power in cricket these days, this is totally unfair and unjust to other teams/boards. The ICC should have more control on the game, they for some unknown reason are only interested in altering/adding rules to the game. West Indies are placed at 9 for only one reason - Gayle.

As a caveat my dislike for Australia has probably decreased since 2005 when we actually started beating them.

Meh, making my list go all the way to the bottom isn't nice I'll just say that after Australia, I don't mind seeing Sri Lanka, South Africa and NZ winning. Other teams will see no tears from me when they get hammered.

Don't care about any country other than India unless it is a world cup. People hate India just to get some attention, just like the cricket tabloid (aka cricinfo) finds time to take a jab at India almost every day to get hits.

I don't get that. You and WC must be about the only two people in India who go for Aus above India.

England and Australia alone.

Sometimes i would route for the Windies depending on who they are playing, given i have strong West Indian links in my family.

Also would support Pakistan since i've always liked their style of cricket added to the fact that most of my close friends here in England who like cricket are Asian Pakistan supporters.
