Teams you root for

I used to be like you mate, along with many other members of different nationalities, trying to use common sense to make them see sense. After the umpteenth time where you get a new kid on the block sprouting the same old rubbish you get fed up, and just resort to either ignoring it, or just winding them up if you need a bit of a laugh.

I am 100% sure I get more common sense and reasoning out of my cat.

Please upload an interview with your cat. Aditya can write an article :D

Anyway back in the land of on topic...

<sarcasm>
A few people who own the site call the shots. Do we not have democracy to discuss what we want? Why are we being bullied by the admin? Someone call the monopoly board since Collin has too much power here. He is destroying PC by destroying free speech. Every member needs equal power in this community. Btw where is my cheque for the ads you show here?

Thanks for the tags ;)
You'll get your cheque after I get mine and in the meantime if you want to discuss or defend the BCCI start a new topic...

I love how you referenced things that I then expanded, and then you said they were apples and oranges, classic haha

What has the USA and their global governmental policies got to do with the BCCI, essentially a business organisation?

Again, I suggest that there is corruption, you tell me to concentrate on my own country? I didn't realise I was only allowed to think of one thing at a time. You bring in WMDs? What on earth are you even trying to say. You've lost the plot, meh, it's hardly surprising judging on your usual nonsensical postings.

You keep saying bullies? I can only assume you're currently getting paid a minimum wage by the BCCI to go and defend their honour wherever you go haha

Thing is you've tried to argue stuff like the vaseline before, and instantly been shown it wasn't true, yet here you are again using it as factual evidence in an argument. You're fantasy world as you put it, is getting out of hand. You need some kind of help, as you appear to have lost your grip on reality. I am not at any point defending the ECB from anything here, nor am I suggesting other boards are better. You on the other hand appear incapable of taking any critisicm of a board that you potentially don't work for.

I like your attempt to be clever at the end. Where you essentially hammer the nails into your own coffin with your misguided interpretation. If the Admins of PC are the ICC, and they came on here to say get back on topic, you have essentially ignored that (as I have unfortunately, sorry Colin!!!) and it would be like Mark getting banned, but then turning around and saying, "Actually, no, I'm not banned, because despite the fact you are in charge, I'll make my own rules thank you very much."

Basically, you go "yes there is corruption", then in the same sentence you bury your head in the sand, "oh, but what about yoouuuuu!" Maturity of a still born fetus.

Oh, and if you wouldn't mind just removing all the off topic posts, that would be cool with me. This had been a reasonably on rails thread :p

I think that was the sound of my brain exploding...

I'm delighted to have started that.

A 9-month rookie trying to call the shots talking about Colin "destroying free speech" and demanding money for advertising?

You know what's coming...

C'MON MAN!

I don't like removing off-topic posts just because they're off-topic as they're usually good discussion. People seem to think something that when we say stay on topic we're telling you not to discuss certain topics; not at all, just do it a thread with a different title...

If I wasn't lazy I would remove the posts and put them into a new thread.

You should have seen what I did to that England in UAE thread when someone disagreed with me. ;)

To be fair he did use the sarcasm tags in case we had any Americans reading the board.
See what I did there? Took a random dig at an entire ethnic group... :D Feels good.

Bloody Englishmen in Scotland. Always lazy.

I, for whatever reason, am not really too keen on NZ. They have done nothing to make me think that, they're just not very interesting to watch :p

^^*Thanks*

I actually don't mind the Aussies. Or the Saffers in fairness. Neither of them play particularly bad cricket..

Maybe 15 years ago I might have given a different answer but having lived in NZ and having both family and friends there I follow them more than any other team besides England.

I'm a test cricket fan essentially. I listened to the all those pathetic two match series at the end of 2011 which were all brilliant matches but needed to be longer. I've not got much interest in the snooze run-fests; give me a good pace attack any day.
On that basis I guess I find SA pretty exciting to watch atm and I love the TMSofa Philander jingle:
"He's a philanderer, yes a philanderer, he sleeps around".

I'm totally pumped for Eng/SA in the summer.

I strongly disagree. Haven't met a good one yet ;)

What's that Kiwi joke about every year they send all their drop-outs and failures to Aus thereby increasing the average IQ of both countries.

As I said, back in the before time when this was a thread about teams you root for. I'll watch almost any and all test cricket, quite a lot of 20-20 cricket, and maybe an ODI or two a series, if it's a 3 game series, strangely I'll maybe watch them all.

Yet, I'd rather watch 9th v 10th, than 1st v 10th. I'd rather see testing cricket, than a steamtrain over in 2 days.

Yeah me too Colin! Hoping to wrangle some tickets, but I'm not 100% when my time off will be, so it may have to be 5th day tickets.

@ Colin. I met one who was in jail once, just seemed right :p

My record is pretty clear that I dislike ODI cricket but I didn't absolutely hate listening to the Eng/Pak series on the radio.

Great fast bowlers was another reason for liking Pakistan as well actually. Younis and Akram and then Ahktar and Sami. Was Sami actually any good? Can only remember that he bowled pretty quick.

Well his bowling average in the 40's with an economy rate of over 5 says it all haha

In all seriousness, he was terrible.

Just looked it up. In 35 tests he averaged 53.

He's also, only 31...
