7zip won't let you create rar Archives but it'll let you extract them. Been using 7zip for years without feeling the need to go for anything else. If you really need very high compression which zip doesn't provide, you can try 7Zip's 7z format which gives me better results than RAR anyways!

iOS7's ecosystem, user interface looks attractive. But i somehow feel that it is very much laggy in my iPad Mini. The iOS 6.x.x which was shipped with the product was much smooth. I hope Apple releases some minor bug fixers soon.

It's not "very much laggy" as you're saying for me, but it does lag slightly in some places. It should be fixed very soon.

It was a relative term with reference to the shipped iOS. I can feel the difference. Temple Run 2 is lagging, Economic Times is constantly telling me to update everytime i open the application and when i give update it says failed. There are issues to be solved by Apple Inc.

The Economic Times thing you're saying is probably a compatibility issue. Happens with Stick Tennis for me too. Temple Run 2 still runs smoothly as does Injustice. In short words, third party apps run absolutely fine for me.

What Apple needs to fix are the little bugs around the OS itself.

Yeah maybe. Hope ET fixes it soon as i read only that newspaper. Sometimes Financial Times but i dont find a FT App in the App Store. :(

Seems BBM for Android and iOS is still not out.

I have a question, pretty noob types so excuse me :p, would the BBM work for Android the same way it did on Blackberry devices, ie, without the internet? If not, then how exactly it will be different to Whatsapp?

BBM for iOS is out. It's not yet released for Android though. I managed to use an earlier build which worked for some time, but has since stopped working.
It's a basic version of whatsapp. Definitely needs an internet plan.

See basically BBM is much secure than a Whatsapp. Actually Whatsapp is totally insecure. Whatsapp works based on your mobile number. Lets say, i have the number of some person who doesnt know me, but i want to see his profile picture, status message etc. I can just add him to my phone book and eventually he will be in my Whatsapp list. He doesnt know that i see what he puts up. This is one security/privacy issue. Next, whatsapp scans your phonebook and syncs the whatsapp contacts automatically and the scanned phonebook remains in the whatsapp server and is actually not erased. Next, the messages you send to others are just hidden and not encrypted, so anyone who gets their fingers dirty on the server can actually just see what you send. On the other hand, BBM uses a PIN by which your integrity and privacy is maintained. Even if i get your PIN from unknown sources, you actually need to approve my request to enable me to even see your picture, status and chat with you. Also BBMs are encrypted in case of BlackBerry. I am not sure about the encryption in android because android is an open source but still the bbms come via the same server that we blackberry users use. Lets wait and see. Anyday BBM kicks Whatsapp away by all means.

Blackberry are on the verge of having the same fate as Nokia. Their profit has reduced by 45% to $1.6 billion compared to last year. Z10 model has not faired good as well and BBM being available on other platforms has only worsened the situation for BB. IIRC, they are also planning to terminate 4500 employees from world over.

People have no idea about security and they use the open source android and the totally insecure Whatsapp. Ban Android. Kill Android #BBLOVER #ANDROIDHATER

Being open source in and of itself does not make android more insecure
