As many have said before me, go for Iqbal. I think I actually preferred Iqbal to Lagaan, but that may just have been because Naseerudin Shah was in the former.

It's not a movie, but "Out of the Wilderness" is a brilliant watch, you should definitely try it.

Exactly I've been watching India in ENgland 2007 and 1996

Well i really don't know hindi, i watch indian film by reading the subtitles.
for me Lagaan was a good film, but was to overrated, yes it's a good film, with a perfect story.
but a Film called Iqbal was a better film, more into Cricket than Lagaan.
People may jump on say i don't know films etc.

but I perfer Iqbal over Lagaan.

Victory will Sucks. it have one of the worst Actors i ever saw in indian films.

Iqbal > Lagaan in this context especially.. Iqbal was purely cricket while lagaan had 80% patriotic elements in it.
