Terrible pieces of sportsmanship in cricket - disgraceful Randiv

It was ugly and disgraceful, no ball just to deny Sehwag of a well deserved century. But in retrospect its no big deal, hypothetically however what if india edgeout SL in smallest of small net run rate margin so small that one more legal ball in this innings could have made difference, if that should be the case, then Randhiv would have unwittingly denied his team a place in the final for a pathetic pleasure of deniying a hundred to an opposition batsman.

I should also say that i am astonished at the apathy of fans from other countries, what if this had happened to one of your own players you would have had a different opinion then may be ?. This incident was ugly and has no place in cricket.

Reasons like SL wanted to be done with it are just pathetic, i watched the match it was a clear case of a sore looser trying to get some wicked pleasure out of deniying an otherwise well deserved recognition for his opponent by means of an unsporting act in the field.

I am sure Randhiv did not make friends in the IPL with this, good luck to him with his contracts if he does not have one already, some consequence perhaps, but one should say its just IPL a domestic indian tourney.

O haven't heard about this one. What happened?
Basically Ambrose and Waugh stood face to face and sledged each other.

Anyway, more news from Sehwag.
"After the match, he said Randiv had bowled the no-ball deliberately, and that the move "has no place in good cricket". "Yes, it was done deliberately," Sehwag said, shedding the blase attitude with which he had reacted to the incident immediately after the match. "Because [of the size of the no-ball] ... that much from the crease. Till now in Test matches he hasn't bowled a no-ball [Randiv bowled two at the P Sara Oval], he hasn't bowled no-balls in one-day cricket, on 99 only why did he bowl a no-ball? And not a small no-ball, not a small margin, from one foot ahead."

from now on, if this happens in the future, the runs should be added to batsman tally. And as a punishment, bowler will have to bowl the next ball, as a free hit and get his ass smashed out the park.

And also balance the bat on his nose with the ball on top of the bat, while doing cartwheels.

Worst piece of sportsmanship? No way.
Under arm ball is no.1 for me, although it was somehow "legal" it was pretty poor sportsmanship. Anyway I better get my ass to school

So now he cares?
See, I told you. It's understandable. Just after the game, you feel he didn't want to be too harsh, so he said yeah yeah it happens. Like I said, out of politeness. Every international cricketer wants a 100. After a few minutes it probably sank in that he missed out on a hundred, which he hasn't scored in a long time in ODIs for India. It would have meant a lot to him.

What a legend..:hpraise Randiv. He went for 1 run instead of 7, smart on his part.

wtf were you doing at home at 10 anyway?

I don't think it was that bad, especially as Sehwag didn't appear to mind.

But lol at the post about the Indians running for like 10 between the wickets because the Sri Lankans might not want to stop Murali getting 800 wickets

I kind of agree, especially with all the evidence proving that Randiv never bowls no balls. Id be steamed, but more at the rule book than the bowler. after all, deliberate or not, its within the rules. Hopefully they change it in a timely manner.
