Test Cricket tweak

Hi Ravi. Do these files correct the 'not-out when caught' problem too? If so, what was causing it?

In answer to my question I guess not as it's happened twice against Ntini and once when I batted. However, in half an hours playing the game didn't freeze :) .
A quick result in the Test I was playing....
SA, needing 171 to make England bat again, were in all sorts of trouble, being 80 for 7. However, Hall and Pretorius then Ntini saw them past the total, befor Hall was the last man out on 64. SA 189 all out, leaving England 19 to win.
I'm glad it wasn't much more as first Tresco was run out on 8, then Butcher was c & b Pollock, before Vaughan and Hussain saw England home, by 8 wickets, just after lunch on day 4.
All in all an enjoyable match, spoilt slightly by these new bugs which have cropped up recently :( .
Good files though Ravi. Now to play the 2nd Test of the series at Trent Bridge with your latest files...

Jonah, I see you get run out every now and then. I suggest you use the 2nd camera under fielding view, it just makes judgement better while running between wickets.

Yeah, will do Ravi. Tresco's run out was a silly one, trying to pinch a quick run on a misfield  ...

Ravi, any luck in rectifying the 'not out when caught' bug?

I thought it had been sorted until I noticed you mentioned above. I had that happen once throughout 2 innings of bowling but at a crucial stage of the game. After having got Zaheer Khan out at 230/8 (chasing 296)CPU brought him back for his second stint while Dravid is at the other end on 70*, you know how disappointed I was. Also in the 2nd inning CPU brought in Kumble from nowhere whereas Nehra was the one who originally played in the test match. It seems to me Jonah that this is an original issue and we simply have inherited it in the Test cricket patch although I cant be sure of it as I have hardly played Tests before. I can remember someone complaining about this issue before as well.

Hi guys, i was just playing a test match as the windies against south africa on a damp pitch, i had them 30/1 off 23 overs (a great bowling display)
and then gibbs edged the ball but then the game just froze up and i had to restart the computer. :o
whats the go there?

The game seem to freeze once a while but not so very often Ragada. I think we just have to get on with it by making sure we save after every over.

Meanwhile Jonah, I had that issue of not being given out twice; once against Dravid and once against Srinath, it looks like CPU doesnt like losing :( . I should have won by now but have a look at the scores now, I have now pretty much given up on this test knowing surely well CPU will not give the batsman out anymore. India is now needing another 16 runs to win with one wicket in hand.

As predicted I lost the game not before getting out Srinath yet again but not being ruled out by the CPU :fyou: . In my books I would consider this game to have been rigged with dubious umpiring  and would treat this game as a moral victory :P .

Some odd things happening in your test Ravi :o . I wonder if it's anything to do with updated squads etc? Very annoying though  ...

that problem has not happened to me before, but i wouldnt rule out match fixing, you never know with the Indians
i guess it might be a realistic feature that EA didn't tell us! :P

yea it has always done that to me. suddenly harbajan who was never picked in the squad...jus shows his face in the last innigs! lol.......crazy man!!!! bugs!!!!

Use the player line-up editor, and make all THREE Test line-ups exactly the same (if you're playing a Test of course), or both the ODI line-ups the same (for ODI's). This should stop unwanted player changes during the game.

hey ravi
i have been following ur test patches nowadays
they r great
and besides some bugs the game looks great
there are a few things that i shud point on
one is that game hangs sometimes and an edge sound comes
which might b due to missing of shot file or wrong file
plzz look at this
and sometimes the batsman who is given out the prvis ball come bak again
tryin correct that
but as far now u have done a great job
