[This diary begins on the 6th April 2009, the first RAW after WrestleMania. A week later, the 2009 Draft will take place, so the first couple of shows will be featuring a host of cross-brand matches etc. I won't edit the top post, until after the draft.]

Surprised at Hurricane Helms winning a title shot, don't rate him that highly. Apart from that, I am happy with all the results, going in the way I wouldn't of wanted. Especially Stone Cold delivering a stunner to Jericho.

Looking forward to this mate, especially the draft. Will be interesting.

Vince Russo in the HOF? =/ Is he actually getting into the real one? I suppose ruining WWE's main competition TNA with some awful writing and booking is enough to warrant a place in the WWE HOF :p.

Good start to a story this, like the Wrestlemania results, other than Umaga winning the MITB, I would have liked to have seen Morisson win. Good to see Orton getting the title as well. Looking forward to seeing where this story goes!

Morrison deserves a MITB win, im sure he will get it this year

I hope that Undertaker defeats Shawn Michaels or JBL in WMXXV and increase his streak to 17-0 :upray :upray

And nice writing and pres there Jay.

WWE RAW
06/04/09

With the events of WrestleMania XXV summed up in a video package, 'Voices' starts to play and 'The Legend Killer' Randy Orton w/Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase appear from the curtain, to a mixed reaction from the crowd. As they make their way down toward the ring, a small 'RKO' chant breaks out, which causes Orton to stop in his tracks and look to the nosebleed seats, where the chants are coming from. Rhodes and DiBiase sit on the ropes to let Orton into the ring, as he climbs the nearest turnbuckle and lifts his WWE Championship up. Rhodes continues with his ass-licking, as he snatches a microphone from Lilian Garcia and passes it to the champion.

Orton: Last night at WrestleMania XXV, I made history, and became a four time World Champion, by destroying my ex-mentor and stablemate in Evolution, Triple H. And by doing that, I have once again become top of the food chain in this company, the top dog, the king of kings... But, this is only the beginning of it all. I promise to you, that I will be the dominant WWE Champion ever, period! Long gone are the days of Jeff Hardy, John Cena, The Undertaker and so on, and so forth. This is a new era, THIS IS THE AGE OF ORTON! And the Age of Orton has been resurrected!

Orton tries to speak once more, but his microphone is malfunctioning. As he tries to get it to work again, Shane McMahon walks onto the top of the ramp, to a good pop from the live crowd.

Shane: Randy, I took the liberty of muting your microphone, because now you can listen to me, like a good boy. You say you are the top of the food chain in this company? I got news Randy, you are nothing. You forget that I have the power here. I'm a McMahon dammit! Hell, if I wanted I could fire your ass right here.

The crowd cheer and some fans even start to chant 'Fire him'.

Shane: But, to quote my sister Stephanie before WrestleMania, firing you would be too easy. You see, I - we, the McMahon family want you to pay for your actions, like punting my dad in the head or RKOing my sister. It seems Triple H couldn't get the job done at WrestleMania, but don't worry, tonight, you will meet your next challenger.

Orton tries to speak again, but his microphone is still muted. He shouts incoherent threats at Shane, who just smirks.

Shane: By the way Randy, get ready to fight tonight. Because, I forgot to mention you will be facing the Intercontinental Champion, CM Punk in a No-DQ match.

McMahon continues to the back, as Orton holds his face, before consulting with Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in the ring.

- Before tapping the mat three times!

Winner: Charlie Haas by submission. [Haas of Pain]

A highlight video of Shawn Michaels vs The Undertaker at WMXXV is shown, with a graphic at the end saying: 'The Phenom: 17-0'. It cuts a locker room, where Shawn Michaels himself is watching on a TV monitor. Walking into the frame, John Bradshaw Layfield stops beside Shawn, to a jeer from the crowd.

JBL: You failed Shawn. You won't be known as Mr WrestleMania now, will you? You'll be forever known as the Undertaker's 17th victim. I would have beaten him, Shawn. Remember that.

HBK: Are you kidding me, JBL? You wouldn't beat the Undertaker. You couldn't even defend RAW's honour, you couldn't even defend your own name. I mean, you are losing to rookies like Kozlov now. I think it's time to call it a day, Layfield. Hang up your boots for the second time?

JBL's eyes are full of anger at that remark, before slapping the taste from Shawn's mouth. Shawn is frozen, whilst JBL maintains eye contact with Michaels. Shawn finally goes for JBL, taking him down with a MMA style takedown, and pounding him with hard shots. Security force them apart, and both men back away from each other...

- Kane climbs to the top rope...
- Flying clothesline from the Big Red Monster...
- Connects with Snuka!
- Kane motions for the chokeslam.
- But Manu gets on the apron, as Kane boots straight him back off onto the floor.
- Snuka with a schoolboy roll up! 1..2..No!
- Snuka strikes Kane's forehead with forearm strikes.
- He runs to the opposite rope, looking for a flying forearm strike.
- Caught in mid-air by Kane, and chokeslammed!
- 1..2..3, Kane wins.

Winner: Kane by pinfall [Chokeslam]

Snuka is out of it, but Manu sneaks behind Kane and drops him with a clothesline to the back of his neck. Manu lays into Kane, kicking him in the ribs with his right foot. Sim Snuka is back to his feet, and 'Cracks 'em in the Mouth'. Both men retreat backstage, as Kane is livid in the ring.

After the commercial break, a single set of fireworks explode, and Chris Jericho arrogantly walks down to the ring, wearing a smart suit and with a microphone in his hand. He is sporting a blackened eye, after his battle with Mickey Rourke last night, at WrestleMania.

Jericho: At WrestleMania last night, I was victorious over that poser, that wannabe, that washed-up Mickey Rourke. The fact he thought he could compete with me was a laughable notion, and he paid for it with two knees to the face. Production, show that spectacular moment to everyone in this building...

A replay of Jericho delivering a painful Codebreaker to Mickey Rourke is shown, along with Jericho getting the three count, to the actual delight of the Houston fans.

Jericho: I won't lie to you. I enjoyed that. I enjoyed the infliction of pain on Rourke, it felt good, heart-warming at times. And I'm guessing that in some part of America, Golden Globe winning actor Mickey Rourke is drinking soup through a straw.

The crowd give Jericho heat for that comment, and start to chant 'You Suck' at the top of their voices. Jericho stops for a minute, and listens to the chants from the fans.

Jericho: This is just typical of you people, putting me down for achieving something in my life. Well, I'm unfazed and your opinions don't bother me in the sligh...

Story of the Year's 'Just Close Your Eyes' floods the arena, and the crowd pop, as the new ECW Champion, Christian makes his way down the ring. He performs his signature pose on the turnbuckle, before confronting Jericho in the middle of the ring.

Christian: Blah, blah, blah, blah! Your mouth moves, yet all I hear is white noise. But, from what I can gather, you haven't mentioned the part where you got your ass handed to you by one of those 'washed up Hall of Famers!'

The crowd cheer, and start to chant 'Austin! Austin! Austin!' as a tribute to that stunner.

Jericho: Christian. It's been a long time since you poked your head in here, so let me recap the rules. You do not interrupt me. You do not insult me. Just, don't talk to me. Besides, I don't want to talk to you, because you are a hypocrite exactly like these fans. And I don't have the time of day for hypocritical failures like you.

Jericho prepares to leave the ring, but Christian puts him arm out.

Christian: Wow. Just wowzers. I heard you got arrogant during my vacation, but this is a whole new level of arrogance. I think, no I'm sure, you are actually a jackass.

Jericho: Why are you here, Christian? Have you come to entertain your 'peeps' like the good puppet you are? Have you come to please your precious fans, by making them laugh or cheer? Because, that's what you have become, Christian. A puppet...

Christian: No, I'm actually here for revenge. You confused? Let me break it down for you. I met Mickey Rourke. He's a great guy, in fact I became quite good friends with the man. So, when I hear you, bragging about beating a 56 year old man, and sending him to a hospital, it touches a nerve, Jericho. So, I'm here to do this.

Christian drops his microphone, and spears him onto the mat, before pounding at him with closed fists. Jericho squirms out of Christian's hold, before rolling out of the ring and running toward the back. 'Captain Charisma' holds his ECW Championship in the air, and motions for Jericho to come back. Jericho holds his mouth, and scowls at Christian, who is playing to the crowd...

There are rumours that Russo will be inducted this year, according to some 'WWE sources'. But, I wanted my HoF to be as realistic as I could, ergo Russo. :D

Btw, all shows will be in two parts, because it eases the workload on me and builds up toward the main events of each show etc. :)

----

The Miz & John Morrison are still running away from the ring, bragging about their exploits, when they turn a corner, straight into a blast from the past, Paul London!

London: Gentlemen, it's good to see you. I see you're still breaking the rules, and cheating to keep your belts. Well, nothing ever changes, but I've got an idea. We just signed new contracts on RAW, and we will be debuting next week on RAW. How about you face us, and put your pretty Tag Team Championships on the line?

Miz: Excuse me, nerd. We don't just accept all challenges you have to prove yourselves to us. And who's we?

London: An old friend of mine. But, that doesn't matter. Are you in?

Morrison: I speak for both of us, when I say: NO! Ha-ha-ha! Now, get out of my way. There is a hot tub with my name on it.

Miz: *cough* *cough*

Morrison: OK, our names...

Miz & Morrison walk away from Paul London, who has a confident look on his face. He watches the champions walk away, before proceeding down the corridor, and shaking a couple of people's hands? Who's we?

----

In another part of the backstage area, Chris Jericho is furiously pounding on an office door. He is still holding his jaw, after Christian's attack earlier in the night. After banging repeatedly for about half a minute, the door finally opens and Stephanie & Shane McMahon step out.

Jericho: Did you see what happened to me, earlier?!?

Shane: Yes, I did.

There is a brief silence, as Jericho expects some elaboration.

Jericho: Well? What did you think?

Shane: Actually, in my honest opinion, I thought it was quite comical. I actually laughed for about a minute.

The crowd cheer, and Jericho squares up to Shane, who stands his ground. Stephanie steps in between the two men, and pushes them apart.

Stephanie: Listen Chris, Shane & I have bigger problems at the moment, so if you want to get back at Christian, turn up on ECW tomorrow night, and talk to Teddy Long. He can handle it.

Shane & Stephanie walk away from Jericho, who isn't happy.

Jericho: That's it? Talk to Teddy Long? I asked for a solution, not counselling. I am RAW's top asset and I am treated like this? Maybe, I should leave. Maybe, I will be respected better on Smackdown.

Shane: Actually, the 2009 WWE Draft is in a week. Maybe, your wish will be granted.

Jericho is left speechless, as the McMahons walk away from him. We are reminded about the Champion vs Champion No-DQ match next: Randy Orton vs CM Punk...
