I will be playing the first class tour games and tests of this summer's Ashes matches as England, an idea suggested to me by my friend.
I will attempt to finish my story before the Ashes end and will be at least one match ahead of the real thing in attempt to predict the future.
Even on hard level the bowling in Cricket 2005 is too easy so I will probably win every game but if I get drunk when I bat occasionally then the Australians may bowl me out cheaply and give themselves a chance.
I have tried using a different font and fiddling with colours but my computer is old and it doesn't work so please don't complain if you find it hard to read, I am doing the best I can.
Someone said one of my stories was a "fantastic story" so opinions differ and if you find it hard to read then either get some glasses or read someone else's story with terrible spelling and grammar and stupid unrealistic scores.

The first match will be a 4 day game against NSW, as I have stated I will be playing as England in all matches (I hate the arrogant racist unsporting Australians who give my fellow countrymen a bad name, they are TERRIBLE ambassadors).

I am playing 4 day games because 3 day matches are a waste of time in my opinion, who want's to watch a match that is destined for a draw from the moment it starts unless one team bats like they don't know one end of the bat from the other or the pitch is substandard?

New South Wales v England - 4 day match at Sydney - Preview

With England uncertain as to what their best lineup is, they have chosen all 6 batsmen from the touring party and given all their fringe bowlers a chance to impress. Flintoff, Hoggard and Harmison have all been left out of the XI and will play against South Australia, along with Giles who needs more time to regain fitness, and Geraint Jones who is not expected to play much of a part in the series unless Read struggles with the bat or the gloves or gets injured.

New South Wales have named a strong lineup, giving Stuart Clark and Stuart MacGill a chance to regain form and fitness before the Tests begin, but leaving out Brett Lee and Glenn McGrath with this summer's heavy workload in mind.

England lineup - M.Trescothick, A.Strauss (c), A.Cook, K.Pietersen, P.Collingwood, I.Bell, C.Read (wk), L.Plunkett, Sajid Mahmood, J.Anderson, M.Panesar.

New South Wales lineup - G.Mail, P.Jaques, S.Katich (c), M.Clarke, D.Thornley, M.Phelps, B.Haddin (wk), M.Nicholson, N.Bracken, S.Clark, S.MacGill.

England have won the toss and elected to bat on a Dry pitch, in Hot and Sunny conditions.

New South Wales v England - 4 day match at Sydney - Lunch, Day 1

England's top 3 fell cheaply in a disappointing start to the tour, before Pietersen and Collingwood repaired the damage with a useful stand. Strauss was the first to go when he tried to slog an on drive into the vacant mid on region, only to edge the ball to a diving Jaques at 2nd slip off Nicholson for 2nd ball duck. Trescothick looked in good touch before edging an attempted cover drive to Haddin behind the stumps, who dived to his left to give Nicholson his second wicket. Cook played and missed a number of times outside off stump to Bracken, who bowled an excellent line, before edging a cover drive off the bowling of Stuart Clark to Jaques at 2nd slip. Pietersen was in fine form before becoming bogged down by defensive fields and tighter bowling, and then top edging and attempted sweep off MacGill's bowling and lobbing a simple catch to Clark at short fine leg. Collingwood looked very steady and took England to lunch with Bell with no further alarms.

England 143/4 (29 overs) Extras 8

P.Collingwood 36* (48 balls) 6 fours
I.Bell 9* (22 balls) 2 fours

A.Strauss c Jaques b Nicholson 0 (2 balls) 6/1
M.Trescothick c Haddin b Nicholson 27 (20 balls) 3 fours 48/2
A.Cook c Jaques b Clark 23 (31 balls) 5 fours 71/3
K.Pietersen c Clark b MacGill 40 (51 balls) 8 fours 123/4

N.Bracken 8-0-38-0
M.Nicholson 4-0-38-2
S.Clark 3-0-30-1
S.MacGill 5-2-10-1
S.Katich 5-1-10-0
M.Clarke 2-0-5-0

Alright right start so far for England. They just need to conserve their wickets or they could get otu for a low total.
