But the overall record for a touring England side is extremely poor anyway, one win in the last twenty years?Joe Root now has lost 8 times in Australia as captain, joint-most defeats for a visiting captain in one country.
I run a school cricket team so you have a fair point.Atrocious. I've seen more runs scored in a schoolboy match than England scored in this match.
What would be the difference between that and the B team?Is there an England A team?
Not that I've seen a lot of him - more like three tests - but I'm very impressed by his attitude and strokemaking. Defense needs work but has more potential than Burns and Hameed, possibly combinedZak Crawley - fearsome tweak it give him 100 Tests.
He'd certainly look like a world-beater against a bowling machine at private schoolNot that I've seen a lot of him - more like three tests - but I'm very impressed by his attitude and strokemaking. Defense needs work but has more potential than Burns and Hameed, possibly combined
You think so?Defense needs work but has more potential than Burns
He simply has shown that he has all the shots. Sibley's defense is better than Crawley's but, even casting the pool deeper than the four in the Ashes squad, what I see is a lot of overly defensively players who would appear to be Rory Burns minus the funky technique. (Also Hameed, but he's plain worse)You think so?
Even Sibley > Crawley
Not too sure what this is about.... Could you be a bit more precise?Well England atleast have the IPL to blame for their loss it seems! All root problem English test team has is definitely because of the cold blooded IPL. How dare RCB play with Burns, Sibley, how dare KKR have Root, Broad, Anderson, how dare MI have Crawley, Leach, etc. Damn you IPL.

I love that Aggers is at least trying to think outside the box, but also don't think this is the answer at all.
The problem is not blaming, the problem is irrational stupidty. None of the test players except Stokes, Buttler and Bairstow played for IPL. Out of all those 3 players Stokes did not even participate in this years IPL. So while your house is burning, do not blame the guy smoking cigarette in different town for that! You can't blame English players for playing in the IPL, where they earn good money.
The problem is with English cricket. Here's what Aggers has to say:
