Well forget India. I am sure spinners will cause major problems for England. I've said this over and again, but after McGrath, Gillespie and Kaspa soften up the top order, Warney and MacGill should be able to clean up the tail. That's if they play 5 bowlers, which is unlikely.

i dont think there will come a point in england in which australia go in with 5 bowlers. and if they do it wont be mcgill it would be the 3 quicks, lee and then warne. or possibly watson depending on fitness. i dont know how hes going at the moment. either way warne will continue to rout england as he has since he bowled that ball past gatting. gatting couldnt play him, and neither could england

Hmm...4 quicks in England might be a fair choice, I guess. They would only play 5 bowlers if they won the first 3 matches and then wanted to experiment, I feel. However, they could go in with Warne and MacGill at any stage, just looking at the English response to spinners. It'll all depend on how Harmison and Flintoff affect the Aussie batsmen. And then there's the fact that there's no real batsman that you can drop.

I think the comment made about McGill being the second best spinner in the world was a rather exagerated statement, especially looking at these statistics:

Just wondering--who are the other spinners in the Aussie squad/domestic level. More out of curiosity, than anything else.

hauritz, cameron white, xavier doherty, dan cullen, and brad hogg are the only really decent spinners from the states. but players like higgs and davidson and symonds all bowl a bit of spin aswell.
