Day 4

The Day 4 started with a dull environment as Raptors were not making runs quickly and the pitch was stilling holding up so getting side out in one day was not going to be easy. The match well was heading towards a boring draw.

The Raptors captain then made the bold decision of declaring after crossing 200 mark. This meant that Australia A had a chance of winning the match as well as loosing it if they did not batted properly. The Australia A side started brilliantly with putting 78 runs for the opening wicket. Even though they lost wicket they were going along nicely at 140-1 and a possible victory in sight.

At score 140-1 Phil Jaques ran himself out and that decision proved to be expensive for the Australian A side. The captain Treva turned upto his successfull bolwer of first innings Mehkar and he probably bowled the spell of his life by removing 5 Australian A batsman and guiding his side to a very unlikely victory.

BURNSY for his superb batting performance in first innings was declared Man OF The Match. Mehkar for his superb bowling performance just missed out on this award.

I feel, Sid should get the MOTM for such a wonderful hosting. Well, Mehkar turned the things completely other way and hence should have got that MOTM if not Sid.
