Brigades Vs Raptors, Final Day

Good Day everyone and welcome to final day of this match. The Brigades team made a comeback into this game yesterday after dismissing Raptors quickly and the going on to make enough runs to keep them at bay. It will be intresting to see what the final day has instored for us.

The Brigades needed quick runs and they had ideal person in KX and Ashwin at the crease. They had a quick 60 runs partnership before KX was dismissed by a great delivery by Tassie. Then Xuzuno and HP Fan got three quick wickets. Ashwin completed his century but fell soon after that to impressive Xuzuno.

Sid tried to make quick runs with tail and Brigades ended at 284 runs with lead of 308 runs. Had captain Surender missed chance of declaring earlier and dismiss Raptors in remaining time. Only time will tell.

Brigades needed some inspired bowling to win this match and Raptors just needed to bat out the rest of the day to avoid defeat. The opening pair of Raptors Left Hander and Burnsy went about the job cautiously and took care of new ball. Captain Surender then introduced spin and that was a master stroke.

Brigade spinners ILoveIreland, Nailclaw and Vaibhav destroyed the Raptors batting lineup on the pitch that had started to take turn. Nailclaw was particularly lethal picking 6 wickets and none of the Raptors batsman was able to pick up his wrong un. This was a very hard faught victory for Brigades after the drop of points against Goblins.

The spinners turned the match for the home team when fast bowlers were thaught to be lethal on this pitch. Captain Surenders policy of picking 3 specialist spinners paid off well in the end and this shows why he is considered best capatin in the game.

a great win... i think raptors played too defensively that brought the downfall. It was nice to see that the last three Batsmens hanged around for 111 Balls.... and also the "Time" it was 6:13 PM probably the last over of the day... Nailclaw deserved to be the man of the match... Reps for Nailclaw....
