Hello and Good Morning everyone. Welcome to this limited over clash between Blue Brigades and Red Raptors. It's totally a different ball game and full of excitement and enjoyment. When these two teams are going head-to-head entertainment is guaranteed. The sun is out shining hard on the ground. Its a normal pitch and won't change much in the course of the day. The ball may spin a bit more in the second innings whereas seam bowler will get some help from the moisture in the pitch at the start of the innings so the toss won't affect much.
Have a look at the people who turned up out there. This a sold out crowd and they know they'll be entertained.
Raptors captain makes the right call and he didn't even think before choosing to bat first. Thats what the Raptors have planned for the day.
The batsmen are out there and so is the fielding team, Blue Brigaders are looking awesome in their new official kit and pumped up whereas the Raptors batsmen are looking confident out there.
As expected the seam bowlers swung the ball early morning, but the Raptor batsmen were cautious. They quietly defended the good length ball and waited for the bad ball to score. After the end of power plays, the Raptors managed to score 71 without any loss. The runs might look a touch less than what expected but the important thing is that they have all the wickets intact.
The field is spread and its time to nudge the ball into the gaps and collect 1s and 2s and punish the odd balls for boundaries. The Raptors played the balls into the gaps and kept on rotating strike. Left Hander missed his half century and got out on 41 whereas Burnsy and Viral played sensibly and completed their individual fifties before getting out. In the overs between 21-40, the Raptors managed to score 104 runs whereas Brigade bowlers struck thrice.
Its all end to the last 10 overs of the game. The Raptors have 7 wickets in hand and all the batsmen are expected to explode with the bat. Whereas the Brigade bowlers need to keep it tight and concede as less runs as they can. Both batsmen are fairly new to the crease and aren't aware about the pace and bounce of the wicket. Although Raptors lost only 1 wicket in the last 10 overs but unfortunately couldn't score much runs. The Raptors only managed 62 runs off the last 10 overs at just over run a ball. Raptors reached the score of 237-4 at 50 overs.
Is this total enough on this track and against a team like Blue Brigades? Will the Raptors bowlers be able to contain the Brigades batsmen or will the Brigaders smash the Raptors all over the park and clinch the victory... Lets wait and watch...
