O.D match Blue Brigades V/s Eng A​

The Pitch​

England A started off brilliantly the openers adding 71 Runs for the first wicket and then it was a complete collapse and England A lost their 10 Wickets for just 84 Runs. Eng A bowled out for just 155 runs from 33 Ovrs. It was a splendid performance from the Fast bowler Graynicolls and the left arm spin of Vaibhav who took three wickets each....

Brigades came out to bat with the target just 156 Runs from 50 overs.. The openers went on to put up another brilliant opening partnership of 80 Runs.. Kx scoring 40 runs before getting out.. and then it was Ashwin's 34 runs and Aamir's solid knock of 73 Runs which guided Brigades home with a thumping 9 wicket win over the England A.... Brigades reached 156/1 from 44 Overs...

Welcome everyone to Cricket Club Of Planet Cricket (CCPC) its a great

honour for me and for every member of the CCPC that we have successfully

completed one year... Today is the first Anniversarry of CCPC... A great

moment for every member.. It was 30th April 2007 at 6:43 pm when Amodh

has launched this wonderful concept and created history by creating this

club.. A dream come true for many people.. This thread was nominated and

recieved the Second Best thread award. It has been a long journey for each

and every member who has participated whole heartedly in it. I would say

that i thoroughly enjoyed every moment which i have spent in CCPC... Iam

hoping that we will celebrate the Second Anniversarry with the same spirit

and never let CCPC die...​

As everyone was bussy celebrating the First Anniversarry i thought of having

a match between the Two teams which comprises of only the active players

in CCPC... so i decided to go with that idea and here i present the two teams

for the 50 Over match (Friendly Match)... The game will be played in true

spirit and here is the lineups for the game...........​

THE SQUAD OF DANGEROUS XI​

THE PITCH IS PREPARED BY THE AUSTRALIAN CURATOR SPECIALLY FOR THIS MATCH​

Its a Night match and teams will be battling out under the lights.. The match

is being played in Australia at perth as the teams are participating in the

Australian Domestic Season... There is no place in the stadium it is a

complete sold out and all are eagerly waiting for the captains to come out for

the toss... The two captains are on the ground for the toss. Suren the

captain of DEADLY XI and Tarzan the captain of DANGEROUS XI..​

THE TOSS WAS WON BY TARZAN AND HE HAS DECIDED TO HAVE FIRST BATTING​

THE ACTION ABOUT TO BEGIN​

Now lets join the live action from Perth and in the commentarry box we have

the two great Indian Cricketer Ravi Shastri and Sunil Gavaskar.... This is

going to be a cracker of a match as both the teams are evenly balanced and

u can expect some great fireworks... The first ball of the match being bowled

by Gray Nicolls and Left hander is batsmen and Karachi Xpress is going to be

the patner for Left Hander a great opening combination... The opening

batsmen have added 76 Runs for the first wicket and KX in is aggressive style

completed yet another half century and Lefty scored a patient 36 on the

other end... KX smashing the bowlers whenever they pitched short or outside

the off stump.. Vaibhav getting rid of KX it was a great moment for vaibhav

as he was running with joy after getting KX out... Soon Viral was out and the

Dangerous XI were 100/3.. Then it was ever dependable pair of Tarzan and

Giggity who score at a quick pace and made sure that the run rate was

increasing.... The duo went after the bowling of Hooper.. the pair added 96

runs for the fourth wicket. Tarzan scoring yet another half century and

giggity missed out on scoring a 50. Tarzan was unlucky to get out on 57 runs

from 57 balls as giigity smashed the ball straight and the bowler got the hand

to it and it hit the stumps on the non striker and tarzan was run out and of

the very next ball Giggity was caught of the bowling of vaibhav for 47 runs

from 56 balls. Finally Dangerous XI managed 241 Runs from 50 overs for the

loss of 6 Wkts. It was good tight bowling from the Sid and Nicolls and the

pick of the bowler for Deadly XI was Vaibhav who picked up two vital Wickets.​

THE PLAYERS HAVE GONE FOR THE BREAK DO JOIN US AFTER THE BREAK​

The second innings is about to begin and for the rest of the match we have

Harsha Bhogle and Boycott in the commentarry box... The target for the

Deadly XI is 242 from 50 Overs with a Required Run Rate of 4.84 runs... The

openers for Deadly XI are Aamir and Ashwin... Sid is going to be the opening

bowler for Dangerous XI... its going to be a thrilling run chase... Aamir

started off brilliantly scoring at a quick pase and getting to a wonderful half

century and on the other hand Ashwin was batting patiently and the opening

partnership was broken by Xuzuno by dismissing Aamir but the pair had

already put on 101 Runs.... quickly Deadly XI were 121/2 as Xuzuno striked

again to get rid of Highlander for 15 Runs... Then came the turn of the

Captain Suren to join Ashwin at the crease... The duo looked to be in no

trouble as they were scoring runs at there will... Ashiwn batting slowly and

holding one end as per the game plan and Suren was attacking from the

other end and he was in mood to spare any one.. He raced to his fifty within

no time and finally the 96 run stand between the two was broken when

Ashwin was caught by KX of the bowling of Handsome for a patient 80 runs

from 133 Balls with 7 4's and 1 6's... Suren soon fell for a quick fire knock of

64 runs from just 51 Balls with 9 boundaries in it... The deadly XI were 229/6

when Jaztheman and Shubhrayu fell cheaply... Deadly XI still requiring 14

Runs from 18 Balls it was Hooper and Vaibhav at the crease.... Hooper and

Vaibhav batted sensibly and the winning run was required from the last over

of the innings.... Sid was bowling the last over of the innings and he

produced two great yorkers and didnot give anything away 1 run reqiored of

the last 4 Balls and then the batsmen decided to smash it away and got the

boundary to win a great match for the Deadly XI and Deadly XI won the

match by 4 Wkts with 3 Balls to spare.... The bowlers did a great job by

bowling a good line and giving nothing away and made the victory very

difficult for the opposition and it was great game of Cricket played between

the two teams with a great spirit....​

A really tight game to contrast with the constant draws. Unfortunate to be on the losing side. But thats not what its about.

Its about the first year anniversary!

Its an honour for me and Amodh specially what we have started started 1 year ago it has cross so much We never expected this huge hype .
