The T20 matches are going to start from 6th of may onwards and it will be interesting to see who will perform better... In the last Tournament Goblins defeated Brigades in the final.....

Hello Everyone. I'm host Aamir back with some good action ahead. Welcome to the First Class game between Goblins and Australia A. We have a good looking pitch here. It'll help bowlers a bit and the ball will come on to the bat nicely. If you win the toss here, bat first and get runs on the board as there will be footmarks on the last day which will assist the spinners. The weather here is bit of concern. There's heavy cloud cover over the ground and the rain may interrupt the play.

The Goblin Captain won the toss and without any hesistation chose to bat first. If Goblins can manage to put up a good score it'll benifit them later in the match.

Cricket072008-04-2401-11-09-92.jpg

The Goblin openers put up a strong opening partnership. They rotated the strike very well, their calling was good and so was the shot selections. The Australia A bowlers tried almost everything out there but couldn't break through the batting skills of the Goblin openers. Highlander and Subhrayu together put up 209 runs for the opening partnership just before Highlander was dismissed by Hilfenhaus for 88 runs. The next batsman Tarzan played well and equally contributed with Shubhrayu. Together they added 107 runs in the partnership. Shubhrayu was dismissed after completing a well deserved century. Shubhrayu scored 165 runs. Tarzan completed his half century soon and he decided to declare at the score of 367-2.

Australia A had a task on hand to try and get some lead on the board coz it'll be hard for them to bat on a the last day considering the conditions so far. The openers were cautious with shot selection but Shubhrayu managed to get the first break through. Jaques was dismissed on the score of mere 22 runs. And as everyoone was afraid then rain is coming down hard. We wish that it goes off soon and we can resume the match.

The rain is gone. It rained quite hard out there. The pitch has absorbed moisture, this may help the bowlers a bit but the outfield is all wet. It has become slow and the feilder may find it difficult running on it. Australia A resumed their batting but almost nothing to see there. Thanx to the brilliant hundred by A. Voges and a well played fifty by Haddin, Australia A managed to reach 365 runs before they were bowled out.

The Goblins came out to bat again. But there isn't much time left in the game. Just 81 overs to go. If the Goblin openers spark off some quick runs, the captain may play some gamble declaring early, other than that it looks like eading towards a draw. The openers did well once again putting up 133 runs for the first wicket. Highlander scored half century again whereas at the other end, Shubhrayu scored his consecutive hundred. There wasn't much in the pitch for the spinners and the Goblins captain decided to have some batting practice for the next match rather than running after the ball. The day ended and Goblins scored 232-2.

The match was washed out by rain and was a bit slow courtesy the overhead conditions. We hope the future matches dont get washed off.

Its time for presentation ceremony. And you don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out the man of the match for this game. Definitely it was Shubhrayu for his brilliant centuries in both the innings.

Hello everybody. i'm your host Aamir and I'll taking you through this exciting one day game between Green Goblins and Australia A. The pitch is normal, but the thing of concern is the cloud cover over the head. The rain affected last game's result, we hope we have a full game here.

Cricket072008-04-2401-20-46-35.jpg

The Green Goblins captain won the toss and opted to bat first. The moisture in the air may assist the fast bowlers a bit but other than that there's nothing much in the pitch for the bowlers.

Cricket072008-04-2401-21-58-14.jpg

After a good performance in the First Class game, the Goblin batsmen were pretty confident and were in attacking mood. Together they put up quicky 67 runs for the first wicket. And after them everyone came in and smashed the Australia A bowlers. Apart from Briggsey every Goblin batsmen managed to reach double fighure in scores. Due to their attacking mindset, they kept on loosing wickets at regular intervals but still they managed to continue scoring runs at a good pace. The Goblins tail wagged and the last wicket partnership of 48 runs between Mad Snake and Handsome ensured Goblins a total of 323 runs. It is not easy for a team to chase 300+ runs regardless of any conditions given.

Australia A came in to bat with a mamoth target ahead of them. Although the openers managed 104 run stand but at not so interesting pace. They could'nt manage to keep up with the required run rate and it kept on rising every ball. The Australia A batsmen succumbed under the pressure put upon them by the Goblin bowlers. There were little showers of rain in middle but that too couldn't help the Australia A and they managed to get only 242 runs in the alloted 50 overs. What a win for the Green Goblins. This high margin of runs will surely help them with the NRR on points table.

For his blistering 77 off 77 with the bat, a wicket and a catch, Shubhrayu was named "The Man of the Match".

So thats game over. Goblins winning comprehensively. Although there were little brizzles in between but thankfully we had a complete game. See you at the next match between Red Raptors and India A. Until then I'm Aamir, taking your leave. Hope to see you soon...

Hello and Welcome to this First Class match between Red Raptors and India A. The pitch is Green and it'll assist the fast bowlers throughout the game. The weather is clear and the sun is out. Although its hot but aint humid so won't be much problem for the players. The footmarks will help the spinners do wonders as the game progresses.

India A captain won the toss and opted to bat first. Hope they can get some good runs on the board.

Cricket072008-04-2600-54-00-35.jpg

India A started off their batting but the Red Raptors were exceptional with the ball. Mehkar bowled brilliantly with the new ball. India A batsmen had no clue whatsoever how to tackle his bowling. Some good scores in the forties by A. Chopra, D. Karthik and Y. Pathan and a little resistance by P. Kumar led India A to a total of 217. Mehkar bowled exceionally throughout the innings and managed to pick up 6 wickets. What a spell of bowling was that. Simply awesome!!!

Red Raptors had a low total in front of them. They started off sensibly but the match conditions totally favoured the batsmen. Viral scored a brilliant half century. On conditions like this, his half century is as good as a century. The top order batsmen added some runs on the board but when it came towards the end, there was no resistance whatsoever. India A broke through the tail and wrapped up the Raptors innings at 252 runs. Raptors get an important lead of 35 runs. On a pitch like this, these 35 runs can be very handy.

India A came in to bat once again. The conditions just got better for bowlers and the batsmen clearly struggled. A handy 45 by S. Badrinath and some useful contributions by others helped India A reach 150 runs. Mehkar being the star of bowling attack once again. He picked up 4 wickets in this innings. A 10 wicket haul in the match for him. He has definitely got some talent.

Cricket072008-04-2600-58-33-56.jpg

Red Raptors came in to bat with a total of 116 runs to get. Although the target was small yet the India A bowlers gave it their 100% They bowled exceptionally well and picked up 7 wickets. But 116 runs was just not enough. The top scorer from 1st innings Viral, leading from the front once again scoring unbeaten 46 runs. Had the India A batsmen got some more runs on the board they might have been able to snitch the victory. Victory for Red Raptors!!!
