Well, I am to update today's match. But due to some heavy homeworks, I'll not be able to do it today. But don't you worry, as I promise promise promise that I will surely surely surely update it tomorrow. I might even update it late to-night. Let's see. If not in night, then tomorrow.

It's all cool. Do you homework first then update when you can. :)

Give someone money to do your homework. Update is more urgent.

Congrats CCPC and Congrats Ashwin. This is clearly all your efforts that CCPC has gone past 11k post.

Just like you were doing in your school time. :p

The Lightning Lions VS The Wild Wolverines

Hello and welcome everybody to this fantastic ODI match between the sleepiest team ever and the most ordinary team ever. :p And though I?m feeling really sleepy ATM :sleep(natural, I?m a lion), I?ll try my best to remain awake whilst the match is on. Hope this finishes soon- as *a big yawn* I want to sleep. :sleep (Who wants to see the most ordinary team play, anyway ?)

The match is to be played in Faisalabad, Pakistan. The pitch is perfect for batting as well as bowling (what a pitch ) and the sky is quite sunny. So, expect a nail-biting, breath-taking contest. Heart patients are advised not to see this match, as you never know??. If something happens, their families must not blame CCPC.

The Wolvies after winning the toss, decided to bat first. Actually they got a walkover. This happened- when the toss was taking place our captain was sleeping a sound sleep in the dressing room. :sleep:sleep Nobody was there to wake him up, as we were sleeping as well :p. :sleep:sleep So, the umpire, aussie_chen91, after seeing this decided to give the Wolvies a walkover in the toss (exactly when was he in favour of the Lions?). And at the end, just before the start of the match, the umpire had to send some men in our dressing-room to wake us up as we were all still sleeping. :sleep They screamed, shouted, broke things, beat drums and made sounds with trumpets- did whatever they could. And finally, we woke up and the match started. :)

The Wolvy openers started off well. They started whacking our bowlers as soon as they got to the centre. The fielders showed no intent whatsoever in stopping the ball, as we were all sleeping in the field. :p So there were loads of sixes and fours, and they hammered almost each and every ball. The spectators booed at us, they threw stones, bottles, ice-cream cones, bags, cups, plates, dishes etc- but nothing could wake us up. :noway Anyway, after some overs Cricketman got the first breakthrough by picking up Aamir. He played like a real Aamir and scored 80. Navin and Ursy scored 61 and 70 respectively. Shubhrayu also did well with a quickfire 34. The only unlucky guy was Tom. :crying Everybody knows he?s too fat to run between the wickets. But sadly the Wolvies weren?t aware of it :(- so one of their batsmen (Ursy) jammed the ball into a space and shouted at Tom to take a quick single. Saying this, he started running- Tom shouted back that he didn?t know how to run. :crying:( But it was too late. Under all the chaos his shout couldn?t be heard and Ursy was already halfway down the pitch. At the end, after much pains Tom went a little bit outside the bowling crease wit h his fat body and sacrificed his wicket to save Ursy. What an emotional scene! :crying:crying:crying:crying Coming to the main part, our bowlers were not really bad. The most economical was Mad Snake. Cricketman was the most successful in terms of wickets. Others including me were okay. The Wolvy innings came to an halt at 327/7 in 50 overs. A hard total to chase, but not impossible. :) Now, it's our turn to show 'em :cheers

Our openers, despite being a bit slow, gave us a solid start. But with the asking rate rate rising each over, a huge pressure started building up- and they gave away to this enormous pressure. The Wolvies got the first breakthrough when we were 125 for no loss. Our one and only hope, Kieron, was dismissed by Covvy! And after his fall, not a single Lion batsman could stand a chance against the Wolvy bowlers. Our wickets started falling like a pack of cards. The main reason of it being that we were all too sleepy to bat. :p Most of us just went there, eyes closed, apparently sleeping (why apparently, really sleeping :sleep- only we know how to bat, walk and field when we are asleep :p), and started swinging their bats to and fro, God knows why. When the ball hit the bat perfectly, it went for a DLF Maximum- went it didn?t- Howzat! And although our lower order guys tried to provide some resistance- it went in vain. :noway Their bowlers were just too good. We finished at 229/8 in 50 overs. All the Wolvy bowlers did a good, job- specially Covvy who was the most economical as well as the most successful. Sid, Xuz and Khalek were pretty good as well. And though the umpire aussie_chen91 gave numerous really controversial decisions in this match   (like always), we shouldn?t hide our fault by giving this excuse.

So, the match ended with the Wolvies being the winners *sigh* and Aamir being the MoM. :) Oh well, this was just not our day- better luck next time. :)This is the bad news. The good news is, now all the Lions will be able to get some sleep- Hurrah, Hurrah, Hurrah!!!! :happy:happy:happy:happy Ahem, sorry for being too emotional. Anyway, that?s all from here folks! :) See ya guys next time. Till then, good night, sleep tight- and don?t let the bedbugs get you! ;);) ----------------------------------------------------

Today?s SMS question:

Which comes first?
A) The chicken
B) The egg
C) Aussie_chen91 :p

The lucky winner will be given a worn-out, old one rupee note. :p

Hello everyone and welcome to Harare for this 50 over one day match between Wild Wolverines and Venomous Vipers. The pitch is green and will stay that way throughout the day as its clear sky and temperature is mild. Ideal conditions for cricket as the bowlers will get some movement off the pitch whereas the ball will come on to bat which makes it an even competition and not a particular player type's day.

04.jpg

The captains are at the centre for the toss. Shubhrayu tosses the coin but Ashwin gets it wrong. Shubhrayu elects to bat first.

The new ball was seaming off the pitch and the Wolverines openers started off cautiously. They took time to settle down but once they got their eye in, there was no stopping them. Together they put on 97 runs for the opening wicket. Ansariaamir_leo got to his fifty. Ursonly11 was playing well until he was judged lbw off bladescape. He was out for 34 runs. Shubhrayu was the next to come in. Vipers struck again and struck big this time as they got ansariaamir_leo. Bladescape struck again in the very next over, dismissing Shubhrayu cheaply. Wolverines were struggling and none of the batsmen could play themselves in. Everyone got to starts and got out cheaply. Khalek came to the aid of Wolverines. His cameo worked for Wolverines. He scored 48 runs and was unlucky to miss out on a well deserved 50. At the end of 50 overs, the Wolverines' score was 231/9. Not a big total but the bowlers have something to bowl. Lets see if they can restrict the Vipers.

The Vipers openers were happy defending at the start to get and idea of the bounce and seam off the pitch. Once they got themselves in, they started to look comfortable and played some good strokes. Together they put on 105 runs for the opening wicket. Khalek provided the much needed breakthrough for the Wolverines by dismissing Gary123 who was nearing his half century. Gary123 was dismissed on 46. Sashidharan came in next. Ashwin and Sashidharan got a partnership going and Ashwin reached his yet another fifty. Xuzuno, the star spinner of Wolverines was too good for Ashwin and he dismissed him for 76 runs. Ashwin played a fine captain's knock. Sashidharan was playing as if he was ordered just to stay there till the end, or maybe he misinterpreted the message. They Vipers needed some slogging towards the end if they wantedto chase down the total but the Wolverine bowlers were too good for them. The Wolverine bowlers kept bowling to good areas. Sid got the wicket of Gorilla and in the end, the Vipers were no way near the Wolverines total. Wolverines won the match by 48 runs. A comfortable victory for them.
