South Australia Red Backs is the team which has qualified to Champions League with a great surprise. No one expected South Australia Redbacks to atleast qualify for the preliminary finals of KFC T20 Bigbash, keeping their past in mind. But Kieron Pollard+ Shahid Afridi along with domestic talent made they qualify for finals, topping the league table. Their local players like Graham Manou, Callum Ferguson, Shaun Tait are the only ones with international experience. With Mumbai Indians not naming Kieron Pollard in their preliminary squad, South Australia have retained him. Sahhid Afridi, who is busy with his national duties will not play Champions League. Now, lets see how they managed to get into Champions league.

South Australia Started off their tournament with a win against Western Australia Warriors with a nominal margin of 29 runs. Then, they had to clash with the Queensland, where they registered their second win, without any tensions. Then, they had to face off against Victoria Bushrangers, where South Australian overseas player Kieron Pollard rocked the show with his 22 ball 52, which took South Australia to a big total of 202. Making advantage of it, South Australian bowlers took some early wickets and got them cheaply all out for 111 in just 14 overs. They got huge net runrate, which meant that they were topping the table.

They won the game against Tasmanian Tigers, in a great way even after Tasmania's overseas player Rana Naved got a hattrick. Their opening bowlers started off in a "Not Bad" way, but the rest of their bowlers deserved a wave:hpraise. They bowled pretty economically, and picked up wickets at the same time. Their Final Spot was confirmed after this win against Tasmania. Then, their match was against New South Wales Blues, were they registered their first loss of the tournament. They were bowled out cheaply for 81 by New South Wales, and the New South Welsh players came up to the total in just 8.4 overs, which effected their net run rate a lot. But their strong victories against Victoria and Tasmania kept them is top spot, which meant that they were going to host the grand final of KFC T20 Bigbash.

With Victoria qualifying for the Finals, South Australia were looking favorites to win the title. But Aiden Blizzard of Victoria Bushrangers played an innings which was equivalent to Kireon Pollard's Innings against Victoria Bushrangers at right time. The target was too high on that day, which wrapped South Australian top order batting line up very soon. Later, Shaun Tait along with the tail enders played defensively, which prevented the "All Out".

Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to this new episode of "Road to CLT20", where we're gonna show you how actually the teams qualified into the Champions League T20. Today, we'll be dealing with the Chennai Super Kings.

Chennai Super Kings is an IPL team, which has players like MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Michael Hussey, Matthew Hayden, Doug Bollinger, Albie Morkel, Muttaiah Muralidharan etc. The squad looks pretty strong. Basically, when the tournament (IPL) started, Chennai was considered as one of the underdogs by analysts due to lack of bowling. But a mid season trade changed their total fate. With other bowlers doing well along with Bollinger, Chennai got well balanced at later stages of the tournament. The two wins in the first half of the league stage along with the five other wins at the second half of the league stage meant that they were into semies. In semifinals, they won against Deccan Chargers, the defending Champions, and entered the Finals against Mumbai Indians. Final started off with things favoring towards Mumbai Indians. But Suresh Raina's quick half century changed the course of the game. Mumbai Indians' poor timely actions meant that Chennai Super Kings won the final.

They started off their tournament with a loss to Deccan Chargers. Then they changed the course of tournament a bit by defeating the the then table topper Kolkata Knight Riders. They registered their second victory at Delhi, beating the Delhi Daredevils, which was followed by a nail biting match against Kings Punjab. They lost the game in the one over eliminator. Juan Theron, the overseas player of Kings Punjab, belonging to South Africa got Holy Matthew Hayden for a first Ball Duck in the super over. 10 runs was not at all a target for a team consisting Mahela Jayawardeba, Kumara Sangakkara. Kings Punjab won the one over eliminator. Their losing streak continued even at Bangalore, Mumbai and Ahemdabad, where they lost to Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals respectively.

They finally got a taste of victory as they finally won a match against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Their winning streak continued against Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians. But they lost yet another game against Deccan Chargers at Nagpur. They seemed to get back into the winning streak by defeating Kolkata Knight Roders at Chennai, but they lost to Delhi Daredevils, at the same venue. In a must win situation, Chennai entered the holy Dharamsala, where the "Dhan-a-Dhan Dhoni" blasted off with a 24 ball half century, ensuring Chennai's win in the last over. Chennai Super Kings were in the semi finals and they had to win against Deccan Chargers, to get into the finals. The Chargers continual drop catches along with a bit of batting failure took the game away form Deccan, which meant that Chennai Super Kings were to play final against Mumbai Indians. Mumbai Indians were the strongest team of the season. But yet, Chennai's aggressive batting empowered Chennai to put up a huge total of 168. Mumbai Indians' poor timely actions reduced Mumbai for just 149 runs, for the loss of 9 wickets. Chennai Super Kings won the match by whopping 22 runs and they were crowned the champions of the Indian Premier League.

Its "The, The then", not two the's:).
I dunno if it can be used, but I just wrote "The Then" just after "the"
