The Chicken and Egg controversy

Interesting...I think that the egg came first...merely it is from where a chicken is born and it would make more sense for something simple(egg) to appear instead of a grown complex chicken

Algae cam from a chemical reaction. Dinosaurs evolved from the algea who laid tiny eggs. Eggs came from the tiny dinosaurs. They cross-breeded with bird like things, laid more eggs. These hatchlings bred with more purish bird-like things. Another egg is laid. And so on and so forth. Called evolution.

It's called evolution.

Agreed, its the only logical conclusion. I've never understood why some people refuse to accept this.

I've always said the egg came first. Because an animal didn't just one day say "right I'm a chicken."

They would however have laid an egg and from that due to evolution a chicken would have emerged.

These sort of questions lead to further questions. So who laid the egg? Who laid the egg from which came the person who laid this egg? And so on... till you reach the Big Bang. What happened before that?

looks like, except Bala, everyone here has studied science.

Wonder what duff would say?
Well a chicken just can't come from nowhere, however eggs apparently can. Maybe hypothetically a dog and a dinosaur mated together and produced chicken eggs. There's no way a chicken can be formed without hatching from an egg - or else it wouldn't be a chicken would it?

(sees a halo over dear mate )

As time is a function of the universe, and the universe began at the Big Bang, there technicaly was no "before the big bang".

Get your head around that if you can.

actually, time is not a function of anything, all else is a func of time.

and it still isn't proved that universe began with big bang.
In fact, our milky way is a baby galaxy, a hundred more also were born.

reports have syggested that many smaller big bangs are also happening, this also means that there were many other big bang before our was born.

It also means that matter could have existed before our big bang.

It also means that adarsh can get his head around it if he wants to.;)

Unfortunately, I can't. What do you mean time's a function of the universe? Please expand, if you've got time!
