Pretty happy to seal two brilliant world cup winning all-rounders in the team (one Pacer, one spinner) to give an excellent balance to the team.

Missed it, @Verified Enigma can I join now. If it's too late no issues.
I would have loved to see the picks you both would have made. But we are already 2 rounds into the draft and it will be really unjust to already participating members. Terribly sorry to both of you. :/ But I will surely tag you first in one of my next drafts.

@Viper. for a double pick

I'd rather take Gilly any day of the week over MS as keeper/bat but I was just holding off on Tendy lol I thought I'd get the 3 Aussie greats in my side. There are however some very good openers in world cups so I feel like it's not too much of a loss atm...lets see by my next turn haha

Edit: can you also please provide an updated list of participants and their picks? or somehow pin it to the top?

Sachin is a great pick. I thought about him but went for Yuvi for his larger than life performances.

Dhoni was meh with the bat until the innings in the final which was steadied by Gambhir. He was a good cricketing brain to have in the team though.

@Fenil
We can count T20I winners as non-gold thingy player (Bradman/Klusener etc) too!! Darn! Thought it was just the ODI WC. :eek:

You can find the complete rules here,

:right: The rules of the draft,
  • The player to be picked should be a part of a Men's World Cup Winning Squad. It should be either an ODI WC or T20I WC winning side, no other ICC tournament counts.
  • You need to pick 11 players in this draft. A player who got injured and ruled out during the tournament or got a call up midway, all such players are also eligible to be picked.
  • You can use International, Domestic, League-based or even World Cup stats to justify your pick, only criteria being that he must be a World Cup Winner.
  • Since there will be few nations like :saf: South Africa / :nzf: New Zealand who will be completely out of play in this draft, I will allow one Proxy (:goldo:) pick in this draft.
  • A Proxy (:goldo:) pick can be any player from any nation who you feel deserved a world cup but didn't end up winning one. However its not mandatory to make a proxy pick.
  • If 24 hours pass without a pick, we can skip a person. If they miss two consecutive picks then you can pass over them in the draft order until they return.

While I was SO inclined to some of the great options available, my next pick is too far down and I don't want to miss this guy.

Mr.360, possibly the greatest all format batsman of the modern era. Fastest century, ten 50+ scores including 4 ODI WC hundreds at an average over 63 and SR is 117. His ability to keep wickets brings more balance to the side.

My pick: :wkb: AB de Villiers
