The FA Cup Thread

That would be epic, I reckon Tottenham have a chance if they outscore their opposition.

Not for me, Madrid are the only team who can win a match by scoring more than their opponents. Fair play to them for that.

Does anyone think Cahill would do better if he moved to a better club? Is he good enough to move on to a better club?
Not me. I have seen a few players stand out for their clubs, move to a giant and fade away into mediocrity. Louis Saha went from Fulham to Manchester United and his career suffered. Cahill won't want to leave England I don't think, he won't fit in United, Chelsea or Arsenal's teams either. Everton are not exactly a poor club, so he would be alright to stay there.

Saha's career was dented by injuries, he was a good player for us when he was playing.

Cahill is good enough to play Champions League football. Something I doubt he will ever get at Everton because there is quite a gap between the top four and fifth.

Cahill would never join Madrid because he's not a complete mong who'd take massive money to join a club with no soul whatsoever. He could do well for any Premiership club but we took the punt for him in 2004 and he'll be staying here for the forseeable future.

That is what happened to Kewell. Probably no one here saw him in his prime but in his prime he could have been playing for Barcelona/Madrid easily.

As said really, Saha, when fit, was very good for us. Unfortunately that bit in bold didn't happen enough. Good example is the 06/07 season, first half of the season he was banging them in, second half, Larsson came in and he got a few injuries, which curtailed his season.
