The Great PlanetCricket Ask Me Anything You Like Thread [AMAYL]

@MattW - By 'best' you must mean 'posts where I am the most annoyed'.

Certain posts have to be deleted to maintain the illusion that I am indeed a Big Ant sock puppet account, who will be receiving a free copy of the game prior to April 3rd on the condition that I only post nice things about Ross, the developmental team and the release/marketing strategy.

Genuine answer - Sometimes I look at a post I've just hit 'submit' on and think 'you're an absolute twat' to myself and delete it.

@ethybubs - how would one pronounce your username? In my head the 'ethy' bit has always been like 'Eti' in Etihad.

Follow up question - who do you follow in the footy?

Sidebar: My process is the complete opposite. I type something out, chuckle to myself, saying out loud 'you're an absolute twat' and then hit submit...

...the rest I leave up to @Dutch.

I second the pronounciation request of @ethybubs (which I pronounce eth-ee-bubs)

Firstly I follow the Geelong cats (since before they were winning)

Secondly I am not one to say how something should be said or thought but I will tell you in my mind it is pronounced ee-thee-bubs, but I have also heard it as eh-thi-bubs, Whatever is fine.

My question is for @chinaman spin and it will be delivered in two parts, part one being more of an observation in question form and part two being a genuine question.

1) when you read my (or anyone else's) posts do you think about the accent the person has?

2) would you rather have everyone of your showers with your father for a year or have to sleep with a large (Australian large) spider in the same room as you for a fortnight?

Good effort.

1) when you read my (or anyone else's) posts do you think about the accent the person has?
This may sound weird but I not only create my own voice for each regular poster, and the accent is usually a variation of neutral English (Estuary usually) or Australian, but also, in my mind, a picture of what this person looks like as I read their posts. Not sure why, but I just do that.

What if I just bathe for a year? Or dress fully clothed back to back? I've got scared and creeped just thinking of that spider, so I'll do the former as it didn't specify how many showers I was forced to take.

I'll address my two-part question to @MattW:
1. What is the worst thing Barmy has accidentally done to PlanetCricket?
2. Who is the proper holder of the title of most deleted posts in 2013?

It's difficult to look beyond your avatar initially, so all I can see is a 21st century Fred Spofforth, moustache and all, which is unsurprisingly very weird.

Agreed.

EDIT: @ethybubs, have you seen this ad? I basically imagine you as this, except looking a lot more like Fred Spofforth.

I would imagine you are a simple, not so fashionista type with a strong English accent with a few Australian slangs here and there. I would not be surprised if you look close to a younger version of bespectacled Mike Heysman.

To me you have a wonderfully husky voice, sexy but not obtrusive, daring a flash of thigh now and then, ample breasts, pert but not arrogant, flowing blonde hair and a wild look in your eye.....

Dutch, you twat, don't press submit........

This has to be a set up? :spy

Time for you guys to blow the dust off from the zillion files you have in your innumerable racks and cupboards.

You are on the wrong page, my friend. We are talking about ethybubs, not ethyboobs.

That one time last year where he deleted every database on the site with one command that he found on google because he thought it would 'speed up' the site probably takes the cake.

2. Who is the proper holder of the title of most deleted posts in 2013?
Apparently it's not simple to figure this out - mostly because people can delete their own posts. That means I needed to find out how many posts each person had that were deleted, and how many posts they had deleted.

Which lets me first answer the bonus question of, who deleted the most posts in 2013: @Simon was number 1 by deleting 1895 posts, I was next with 1137 and @Dutch a low 530.

As for most deleted posts in 2013 - @Warner Watson; won with 62 net deleted posts, wasn't even close.

Question to @zimrahil - are you conflicted about supporting a golf game made by HB Studios after the experience with Cricket - or does all the hate go to EA?

Its not fair: most of Simon's deleted posts were your posts anyway Matt! I will be back.....I will be back......actually I am rather happy to de-myth the assumption that I delete a lot.....banning for ludricous reasons now that is something I am good at............

As the saying goes: the best boob is an ethy-boob......
