The Panesar Lottery

Player 49

:ind: :x: Maharaja of Porbandar
Nominated by: @Aislabie

Like Vizzy, he was selected as India captain because he was a prince. Unlike Vizzy, he had the humility not to select himself for Test matches. As you may imagine, the two did not get on.

And he goes to... @ddrap14

Congratulations!

Player 50

:zim: :bwl: Chris Mpofu

Hey look, another Zimbabwean seamer! Chris Mpofu has been a stalwart of the national team pretty much forever. He struggles against top class batters, but is very good at cleaning up those who are a bit challenged when it comes to cricket skills.

And he goes to... @ddrap14

Congratulations again!

Player 52

:ban: :bwl: Tapash Baisya
Nominated by: @ddrap14

One of my favourite players growing up, ever since I watched the 2005 Australia-Bangladesh game at Cardiff. Greatest ODI ever played.

And he goes to... @Verified Enigma

His team now looks like this:

3. :aus: :bat: Don Bradman
10. :ban: :bwl: Tapash Baisya
11. :eng: :bwl: Jimmy Anderson

Player 34

:zim: :bwl: Tanaka Chivanga

Hey look, another Zimbabwean seamer. Chivanga is currently a one-Test wonder, but his strong first-class record means he'll probably get another go before long.

And he goes to... @Till Valhalla

A player with a first-class bowling average of 22 is your weakest so far.
That is Blessing Muzarabani...

Player 55

:sri: :bwl: Mumtaz Yusuf
Nominated by: @Aislabie

I'm genuinely staggered that Mumtaz Yusuf hasn't been a staple of our Panesar shenanigans. He played five first-class matches as a specialist bowler, returning only one wicket for 282. He also batted only once. He's since made a living as a coach in the United States and elsewhere.

And he goes to... @Till Valhalla

Congratulations!

I'm going to stop for a while at this halfway point, largely because I have so far done none of the chores I had planned upon.
