As someone in the forums rightly pointed out, the reviews are really vague..
The reviews are the last thing one should go by and as far as i am concerned i dont even go by the critics reviews for movies, simply because they cannot determine if a movie is good or bad for others...they go by their taste..
Similarly as far as the Xbox and Ps2 reviews are concerned, they have been carried out by people who are not very inclined towards the game of cricket and probably dont even no how it works, if they find it hard to bat, its because every layman would think likewise.
People who follow reviews really are being led by a bunch of people with blindfolds on...
anyways to really determine the games strength and faults its imperitive that the game be released and than reviewed over by a person who has a passion for the game and knows what he is doing.
As far as the demo i would like to comment, that the demo does not even feature 1/4th of the components and features of a game. Before you know it the demo is over. So whether the demo is released right now or after the game release it doesnt matter. If you are skeptical about buying either of the games, then you can wait till the demo comes out, cause i know none of us have money to waste if we are not sure about something. In the case of Cricket 2005 we will be able to get much more feedback through personal testimonials and recommendations before the demo is out. So there is no point in cribbing for one. As far as BLIC is concerned its great that they are releasing a demo, but do you really want to wait 3 weeks before the game is out, cause a 2 over demo wont satisfy much, now will it!

how do you know its a two over demo?

frankly demo's are released solely to make people who havent made up their minds to do so. true the demo will not feature all the extra content but the gameplay and the AI will be almost 1 to 1 so there is no point bitching abt demo's! you also cannot make a full judgement of the overall product but you can see for yourself if it is worth spending the money ...

which cricket demo have you played thats more than a task to accomplish or a few overs. i dont think EA's market appeals to cricket much, as much as i would like it to, but EA produces and launches games every month or so,
So considering the volume of the market they are catering to, i dont think they would want to loose whatever opportunity they have to get sales and besides if someone is not sure, they can wait and read the reviews from people who have played the game. Maybe they dont get the same feel but hey its worth something. Everyone is happing on about the great BLIC demo, well see what they offer in the demo...

And besides Bhail256 i clearly mentioned that they will have a demo, so if you really want to wait then wait for the demo after the game, no one is pressuring anybody to buy the game before they try it.. all i said was that the reviews will be out before that. You want a cricket 2005 demo, theyll have one for you ...so WAIT!

oh so u are a review person! well many ppl like to feel the game first hand! you can figure out by the game play if its worth going all out and buying it!
and if u read what i have written you will know that i havent targetted any one ... not ea nor codies! you have taken it that im against ea, i am not i am just a purist when it comes to cricket games and i buy what i feel is better and not go on with reviews! you dont seem to understand the point of my post so let me try to put it in SIMPLER terms ...

first of all i was "happing abt demos, not EA" get ure facts str8!
demo's make ppl understand how a game runs and the gameplay and all that besides anyone who releases the demo tries to pack in as much stuffs as they can so the consumer will go out and buy the game ... think abt it! and no i have not played any cricket demo other than the icc series and they had enough detail in it for me to get the game ...

besides i never said that there will be no demo, heck i asked you how u know that its going to be two overs! simple

it amazes me how ppl can just think what one has thought and not mentioned anything in posts and be against that person  i would pay you some bucks if you can teach me how to mind read as well :help

Everyone has his own likings and choices,no doubt that BLIC is looking more better at the moment but competition is always good.I wish that Cricket2005 proves them wrong who are against it.
