Sir Alex's Fergusons Academy Month 3 Update (15/9/08 - 15/10/08)

Sir Alex has produced a report for his 3rd month with his apprentices.

Queen of Sth:

Ikram has managed to keep his Queen of the South side rooted to the top of the table. He has a 3 point gap between him and Williams's strong St Johnstone outfit. Ikram is still let to lose a league match in his reign and in his 3 league matches in the past month he has won 2 and drawn one of them. His two wins came against Patick Thistle and Dunfermline. Although it was
a good month in the league Ikram exited both of his other cup commitments. He lost out to Udinese in the Euro Cup after he managed a 1-1 draw at home but a 2-1 loss away from home. In the league cup he lost out to Hearts 3-1 away from home. Ikram also finished off the month of September coming 3rd in the Scottish First Division Manger of the Month Award. At the moment Ikram's team are on a two match winning streak and will be hoping to keep this up over the coming month. He also has the second best Goal Difference at +11.

St. Johnstone;

At the end of September Rhys Williams was awarded the Scottish First Division Manager of the Month. In his 5 matches of the month Williams lost just one of them in a televised game against Livingston. He lost out 1-0 in the Challenge Cup Semi Final Graham Weir scoring the winner for Livinston in the 60th minute. Although he lost to Livingston, he managed to pull off a very good win in the League Cup 3rd Round against Motherwell 3-0 at home. He managed a string of 3 3-0 wins in a row in the middle of this month. These wins came against Motherwell, Airdrie United and Partick Thistle. Overall it was a very good month for Rhys Williams who moved up from 4th to 2nd in the league, and his team is also the best in front of goal at the moment scoring 21 goals. He has the best Goal Difference in the league of +13. His next game comes against Livingstone a team who he lost to in his last game.

Partick Thistle;

Ben Mannings Partick Thistle slipped down two places this month into 4th while Ross County ended the month in 3rd. Mannings month only consisted of 4 games but out of these 4 games only one of them ended in a win, a 3-1 win against Ross County. He lost in the 3rd round of the League Cup 2-0 to Inverness CT and he will be happy it wasnt more as he faced the premiership opposition. He also lost to both top and second of the table aswel. He lost 3-2 to Queen of the Sth and then 3-0 to St. Johnstone. With Manning now out of both cups he will be fully concentrating on a good league position.

Sir Alex's Fergusons Academy Month 3 Update (15/9/08 - 15/10/08)

Livingston;

An excellent month for manager James Edmonds saw him come out of his 4 games unbeaten and get his side into the Challenge Cup Final where they will play Dunfermline. He beat St. Johnstone 1-0 and he faces them again in just 3 days time and will be hoping for another victory over them. Edmonds also recorded a 2-1 victory over Dunfermline, a 2-2 draw with Morton and a 1-0 victory over Airdrie United. Edmonds will be pleased ending this month unbeaten and has not lost a match in 7 games. Going into the next month Edmonds will be looking to increase this hopefully into double figures!

Edmonds is said to be fairly dissapointed with how things are going at the moment but he does feel the form shown by the team recently means there is hope for the team. He has also found a new love for Scalextrix he his said to be the first one to leave the training ground just so he can go and play. It is sad him and Jack Teague meet up at Edmond's house playing Scalextrix while blow up Llamas watch on!

Dunfermline;

Shantanu Ambekar had a fairly busy month having 5 games. It was a very good month for Ambekar only losing one of these matches to Queen of the Sth. His biggest win was his 3-0 victory over Dundee to take his team to Challenge Cup Final. Ambekar will be dissapointed about his exit in the League Cup as he lost on penalties to Premier League Opposition St. Mirren. He plays Livingston in the Challenge Cup Final which will also be televised. In Ambekar's 3 league games this season he lost 2 and won 1. His win came against clyde on the 27th in which he managed a 3-0 win. His 2 losses came against Livinston and Queen of Sth. Ambekar will be keen to reverse the result agaisnt Livingston when it comes to the Challenge Cup Final.

At the moment Ambekar seems to be considering his options and seems to have a fetish for singing the song 'should I stay or should I go?' by The Clash. Lets hope it stops soon or the players will want him to go!

Airdrie United;

Shalin Shah had possibly the quietest month since months began! He had only 3 games and managed a draw and 2 loses. His draw was a 2-2 draw at home to Morton and both his loses came on the road. His first a 3-0 loss away at St. Johnstone and the second a 1-0 loss away to Livingston. He plays Ross County next and actually has 4 games next month. Lets hope Shah can pull a win out of the bag!

Shah is dissapointed with how things seem to be going at the moment and rumour has it he may be thinking about changing his name as both his first and last name start with the 'sha' stem. His name actually has 3 'h's in it overall which is a fairly good effort. He is also mourning the loss of his last plant as he forgot to water it enough!

Ahh this is where you are wrong Trev. Ross County are 3rd and I don't do an update on them :p

Scalextrix ftw! Ha good update there, Ollie, and a brilliant month for me! Hopefully I can keep up this good form and win the Challenge Cup. We're on the up for definite.

Ah man. I think I'm bottom :( Oh wait that's Jack :p

Morton;

S Das had an average month as manager of Grennock Morton. In his 4 games he managed a win, 2 draws and a loss. His win came against league strugglers Dundee, it was a 2-0 victory at home in a match that they clearly dominated in. His two draws during the month came against Livingston and Airdrie United. They were both 2 all draws one away from home and the other at home. His loss was in the 3rd round of the league cup, unfortunaetly Celtic ran away with the game. They won 4-1, at one stage Morton had taken the lead with a surprise goal but then Celtic turned the screws and managed to take away a 4-1 win away from home. That leaves Morton with just the league for some silverware.

Das is not entirely sure with life and honestly no one really knows much about him. All we know is he loves to dress up in womens clothes!

Clyde;

In a month that only consisted of 3 games for Robbie Campbell, I'm sure he would have hoped for more than just the solitary point. His only point came against Queen of South in a very good 2-2 draw. It was a match that Clyde pulled back in Injury time to secure the point. In his other two matches he had a 3-0 loss away from home to Dunfermline and then a 3-2 loss at home to Ross County.

Campbell's next match comes against Partick Thistle, the last time these teams met Thistle won 2-1.

Dundee;

Rubbish, terrible, disgraceful. Just 3 words of how you could describe Teagues month. 1 win and 4 losses. His only win came against Fakirk in what was surely a fluke, espeically as the goal came from when a Dundee player was just running back and the goalkeeper decided to kick the ball back into him and it looped into the goal. The crowd was stunned! Saying that so was Teague. So much so that Teague fainted on the touchline. All the other 4 matches were routine for Teague. 4 losses and these came to St. Johnstone, Ross County, Morton and Dunfermline.

The only thing Teague has going for him is the scalextrix track with James Edmonds.
