Sir Alex's Fergusons Academy Month 1 Update

Sir Alex came to his final 3 manager reports for this month and his next report was about Edmonds Livingstone.

Livingston;

Edmonds' Livingston currently lie in 8th place in the scottish first division. Edmonds didnt manage to win any of his 5 friendlies in pre season. 4 losses and a draw was his record from it, The draw coming against Yeovil and his 4 losses against TNS, Hearts, Lecister and Wigan. He has taken this form into his competitve career and in the league having 1 point from his two games, this coming against St. Johnstone. His loss came against Ross County away from home. Livingston still remain in both cups beating Ayr and Partick Thistle in the Challenge cup and Arbroath in the League cup.

Edmonds has brought in 3 players for Livingstone, 1 on loan and then 2 transfers costing him 16k. He has made a big profit so far selling two players for a total of 75k. One for 55k and the other for 20k. This leaves Edmonds with unspent money. Will he spend it?

Edmonds next match comes against joint top in the league Ikrams' Queen of Sth.

Media Prediction: 6th
Current Position: 8th

The 7th manager he spoke of was Jack Teague.

Dundee;

Jack Teague's Dundee have got off to a slow start in the league securing just one point from their two games. This point came in his first competitve match against Rhys Williams' Queen of Sth. He secured a 1-1 draw after scoring in the 30th minute. A good result for Teague against a strong outfit and played 3/4's of the game with only 10 men. His other League game was a 3-1 loss to Campbells' Clyde. He is still in both cup competitions, a 2-0 victory against Ayr in the League cup and then a 3-2 victory in 2nd round of the Challenge Cup. Teague had a hit and miss pre season, losing 3 of his 6 games, although these loses did come to sides such as Dundee, Bayern Munich and Porto. His wins coming against Liverpool Reserves and wycombe with a 1-1 draw against Falkirk.

Teague has brought in 4 players, two loans from Scottish Giants Celtic and two on free transfers, although he may have not brought many players in he has let no fewer then 8 players go. 2 of these players have left on loan but the other 6 have left for a combined total of 37k.

His next game come against Partick Thistle.

Media Prediction: 1st
Current Position: 9th

Finally Sir Alex spoke of S Das.

Morton;

Our last manager for this month is S Das. The 32 year old Indian is managing low fliers Morton. Unfortunaelty so far Das has not been able to turn his pre season form into league form. In pre season Das lost just one of 5 friendlies this 2-1 at home to SPL side Celtic. In the other 4 of his friendlies his team certainly werent short of goals, winning 3-0 in 3 games and then the other game 4-0. He then the league he has lost both his games so far. A 3-1 loss to Dunfermline and then a 3-0 loss to league leaders St. Johnstone. In the cups though Das' team form has been much better, beating rivals Airdrie United 3-1. He then one his next game to take his team to the third round of the cup and will be facing Livingstone. In the League cup Das also took his side into the secound round and will face SPL side Dundee at home.

Das has been one of the quietest managers in pre season bringing in 2 players and selling just a solitary players bringing in 12k. He has brought two players in as well one on a free and one for 12k. It will be intresting to see if Das will bring in any more players.

Das's next match comes against Ross County. A team which currently lie 7th in the league.

I am last in the table :( anyways nice update Ollie KUTGW!!

Predicted 1st!? Looks like we've had a poor start, but I guess my side must have quite a bit of quality seeing as we were predicted to win it. I think the next month will be a good 'un, and we should go shooting up that table.

Nice work Ollie :)

Sir Alex's Fergusons Academy Month 2 Update (15/8/08 - 15/9/08)

Sir Alex's second month with his apprenticeships has been a very good one for him, this is how is managers have fared this month.

Queen of Sth;

Queen of the South Manager Zohaib Ikram has kept his team rooted to the top of the table and have now got 1 point advantage over second place. Currently 5 points seperate the top 4 so it is still quite close at the top with 6 games gone. Zohaib has also managed to keep his unbeaten run going in the league having now won 4 and lost 2 from his first 6 games. Ikram recorded a victory against his close friend Edmonds. A tight game that Ikram managed to mastermind a 1-0 victory. Ikram managed to also guide himself into the Euro Cup 1st Round. His team beating Vaduz 3-0 on aggregate. They now face Udinese in the 1st round, although he managed to get into the next round of the euro cup his team were knocked out in the Challenge Cup third round by fellow first division team Dunfermline, managed by Shantanu Ambekar. The game ended 2-0 to Ambekar's outfit.
In the first division Ikram has managed wins against Livingston, Morton, Ross County and a draw to Williams' St Johnstone.

Ikram has been the quietest man in the transfer window, He has sold one player for 35 k, has brought in 4 players on loan and one on a free transfer spending no money.

Ikrams next match comes at Home to Udinese in the Euro Cup and then 3 days laters plays clyde away.

Manning has one 3 of his 4 league games this month, his loss came against cyprit Edmonds and his Livingstone team. His wins came against Morton, Airdrie and Dundee. He now lies in 2nd after an impressive month. In Manning's ten competitive games he has played 10, won 7 drawn 1 and lost 2 of his matches.

In the last month Manning has brought in no new players, it looks as if he may be done with his transfer spending.

St. Johnstone;

St. Johnstone have slipped from top of the table to now being 4th in the table. It has seen them slip 3 places down. It has been mainly a month of draws of for Rhys Williams. In his 6 games this month he has drawn 3 of those 6. One of those draws came in the Challenge Cup 3rd Round, a 1-1 draw against Arborath but they manged to pull through the match on penalties 3-2. They now play Livingstone in the Semi Final. In the other semie final is Dundee and Dunfermline. His best win this month was his 4-0 win over Clyde but he also lost 4-3 to Ross County. An Intresting game that saw Ross County go in at Half time 3-2 up. County scored straight after the break with a penalty but St Johnstone came back just two minutes later to make the game 4-3. An excellent game for fans to be at!

Rhys has brought in two more players in the transfer window this month, A 19 year old clyde forward for 20k. He has also brouht in Nile Ranger from Newcastle on loan.
