My Objective as Cop : I don't care whether Lecter goes alive or goes dead. Our main target is get the serial killer( Bill ). Varun's write up - 'If she(Clarice) needs to enter the mind of killer(Bill), she needs to challenge the madman(Lecter)
Character background :
- Clarice is FBI trainee/cop sent by Crawford(another cop)
- Bill and Lecter are Hannibal killers. Bill kidnapped Senator's daughter and she is called Catherine.
- Clarice and Adrelia are close buddies.
- Crawford sends Clarice to investigate Lecter through Chilton.
- Lecter starts giving clues to Clarice to find information on Bill. Clarice and Crawford gives a false alarm of deal signed by Senator to Lector which he believes first and then realises it.
- When Lecter meets senator - he arouses her anger and then discloses the name of Bill in this scene.
- Clarice, tries to get more clue and ends up getting hold of Lecter in the end.
Why I did not believe Colin?
If Varun is able to keep 2 cops with such innovative set ups with me bothering only on Bill, if myself and Yash have played with better chemistry - we would have had hands down now. Senator is the least significant among so many roles. If Senator was vanilla townie, it is believable but not any power role. I don't think Varun, who has kept so innovatively, is capable of doing something out of the blue moon.
Why I did not investigate Colin?
He was so sure about coming as town in his claim. Like I said, my hunt is for Lecter to continue further hunting. This means, lecter may be lawyer to protect Bill until Clarice reaches him( this part is what I have been mentioning as me thinking over 1000 times ). Due to this ambiguity of Lecter being lawyer or it is just the bold deviate act from Colin, I am not ready to waste my night investigation skills on Colin. As it is 7 players set up, I am very sure that this game is going to be short.
Why I investigated PS?
Since I didn't want to investigate Colin, I wanted to go on unclaimed people - Zuhorb and PS. As Zuhorb atleast added point of jailkeeper/doctor with valid sense, and PS was very fishy( knowing that he likes to go after people even when he was town ) - I decided to choose PS on last night.
What is unexpected?
Yash coming out. Like every other people here, ignorance of theme has resulted in Yash coming out without even knowing who Clarice & Crawford were.
Why Clarice cannot be fake claim?
It is the leading role who finishes the job, so if there has to be a cop - it has to be clarice. This set up could have been done even without Crawford but not without Clarice. I always anticipated that there should be standby cop, but did not expect that there were 2 active cops until I read about Yash.
With these things said, I cannot be bothered anymore to explain on what I was doing. Apologies that I lost patience, as this is my favorite plot of all time, cannot bear the ignorance to be very frank!

lol so you think this game is gonna follow a particular plot point as shown in the movie(unless explicitly specified in your role that you have to do something like that)?
Look most themed games are designed in such a way that anyone w/o knowledge about the theme may be able to play as well, I cannot explain this anymore.
Which is why your play is more important than your claims.
I don't know about any other theme, but this one is as per the theme - on track 100%, am confirming that with my objective given to my role. It is innovative attempt from Varun!
