This bar stuck on my screen.

If you end processes you aren't deleting them. If you end something and windows stops working then restart it and it will be back. Is there no settings in the program options to stop it running at startup?

Nope. No settings to stop it. :(

I don't know what the process would be called to stop it.

I just noticed something. When I'm not hovered over the taskbar, I can see the things you have to drag, but when I try and go there, I am unable to. When I try and click and drag, it opens the program.

GOT IT

1. Right Click on the Taskbar
2. Click on Properties
3. Click on toolbars
4. Make sure the box which says Table PC Input Panel is unchecked. If it isnt uncheck it and it should be gone.

That's the thing, it's not there. I tried that first. See the screenshot at the top of the page.

Fixed it guys! Thanks to another guy who had this problem 2 years ago. I just googled it and found the thread. Someone posted a link to a program that fixes it. Thanks Kev and holdenator to all your help. :)

Holdenator, mine doesn't have that taskbar part. It doesn't now because it is fixed, but thanks anyway. Must of used up alot of time uploading those screenshots. :p

Nice one holdenator, I've never turned tablet pc on, so I didnt quite know what it looked like.

If you can't get rid of it as above, goto control panel, then administrative tools, then services.

You'll see a list of stuff, find something like "Tablet PC Input" right click it and set the startup type to either manual or disabled, that should stop it (I think).

Edit: Oh well 2 mins too late ;)

What was the fix?

It is standard with vista, most of the time you can move it to somewhere on to your screen.

A program that someone had posted on another forum where someone had the same problem.

Sometimes freaky things happen with the task bar, they are usually your fault, by mis-dragging something or letting it go at just the wrong place you can find yourself shouting "What! How the hell did that happen!" and you never manage to replicate what you did either.

For God's sake Google some of that garbage and lose what you don't need! That must really be slowing your PC down...
