I started a test match between me (Eng) and CPU (AUS). I batted first and made 374 all out at the start of the second day. Australia batted next and I bowled them out for 397. It was now tea time on day 3. I then made 306. Then they needed 283 with 1 and a half days to go. So they didn't play too defensive but not to agrresive. They steadied along the innings and on the last day they needed 90 runs and had about 1 hour of play remaining. They then decided to defend. They had gillcy and mcgrath batting. Gillcy played some shots (only bad balls) but defended the rest and mcgrath just defended everything on his stumps and left the rest. So by doing this they held off for a draw. Now on BLIC they would of slogged everything. Thanks for reading this!! This game is amazing!!

This game is awesome...martyn if you thought this game was rubbish why are you on this board?

No wrong this game is so crap.

That was a really useful, constuctive post, wasn't it?

What Khan said was his opinion, and he's entitled to it. You cannot ever say someone's opinion is "wrong" - only that you disagree with it.

I personally think that they both have good and bad points, but overall I feel Cricket 2005 just edges it. And before you tell me that I'm wrong too, thats my opinion, not a fact.

My Opoin is that it is brilliant..i dont care about the few small bugs

khan at what kind of runrate was the cpu scoring at? I think the AI is a lot better in testmatches than in the one dayers.

Well, if you like the game that good for you. People have different opnion. Btw how long did it take you to play 5 days. Australia play very attacking cricket, very rare to see them not going for win. I feel that both games failed to make it realistic.

There will be bugs no doubt !!!
Every game so far released have bugs !!!!

EA Cricket 2005 is quite ok according to me ....not so bad....graphics are really good......

Blicis not that great a game
Cric2005 is better than BLIC but not the best.

nice story i wish i had matches like that

for me (on hard)

Bold WIndies out for 145
Got bolt all out for 53!
currenty windies 45/3

The CPU went at a steady rate but they lost wickets. No team would risk losing a match. With a tailender at the crease and still needing 90 wouldn't it be wise to just bat out the last hour of play?? Thats what I'd do in a real match situation like that!

If the CPU lose a wicket they play defensive for about 10 overs just blocking and going for 1s and 2s. When the new batsmen is settled then they start to play a bit more agrresive. They were only chasing 283 with quite a long time left. But once they started to get going I got a wicket thus slowing them down. This is how I kept them from making the runs.
