This is it - Ashes Cricket (Beta Feedback)

Exactly what I expected. It was too common an issue to be missed.

Thanks anyway.

AI fielding in general is being looked at to get to the most realistic decision making as possible. As you can imagine it's difficult and every tweak opens up another issue.

As people are already aware the game I have on PC is different slightly to PS4. The support will be excellent I reckon.

Does anyone know why the graphics from big ant have become worse and worse since db14 ? I mean look at this.

I disagree with you mate. Even Fifa 08 ( Fifa being possibly the most popular sports game) looks good in terms of graphics but has evolved so much over the years as Dbc is evolving.

Oh Please, Mark Nicholas had an irritating voice. Slater has a real entertaining voice...

Irritating voice??!! You my friend obviously have no clue about what a good commentator is! Slater is good but Mark Nicholas is the best out there amongst a couple of others.

Watching some live stream, I feel catching mini-games should only be there for reflex catches that actually results in wicket or diving fielding. It seems pointless and frustrating at times to have these mini games for grounded balls. It impacts the overall pace of game and seems to happen too often to breaks the immersion for me or atleast an option to have these only for reflex catches/dives would be suffice.

I wasnt Mark Nicholas's biggest fan, but have to say he's brilliant to work with. David Lloyd is still the very best though: hopefully BA can get him on board next time.

hope they can be turned off completely

I agree wirh you @Chief David Lloyd is very good also. What do you think of Danny Morrison and Dean Jones? I know they do go a little crazy at times but very entertaining nonetheless.

hey there!
My previous post got ignored :)
Can please somebody answer the following query?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi There!

I've been reading to all the posts from past hour :P
This topic is discussed and answered before but I'm quite not able to put this one straight.

Please correct me if I'm wrong (especially text in red):
  • First day, the only teams which will have correct rosters (Names, stats and visuals) are Australia and England.
  • The cricket academy has been made public to a few people who are currently working on rest of the teams?
  • On day one, there will be some sort of unlicensed teams which we will be able to download via academy with decent visuals and correct names / stats?
  • The cricket academy will be made public to all in upcoming time (hopefully soon) for more content?
  • There will be a patch one on the first day to fix some minors that we noticed by watching the game-play videos.
I've been a fan of this series and I've bought DBC14 and 17 on day one. I'm looking forward for this game and will do the same. :)

Big thanks to Big Ant Studio and the hard working team. I'm so glad now we have good cricket video games thanks to the Big Ant Team!

Idk if this has been asked already, but is the bug for the allrounder fixed? I.e. In dbc, most cases where I used an allrounder in career that would bat in the middle order/lower normally would be opening in all formats, I wasn't able to change anything until I got the captaincy. E.g. My Marcus Stoinis and Mitch marsh career mode had them batting at 1 until I got the captaincy. I plan on doing a Mitch marsh or maybe a Stoinis career mode in ashes and would hope that this was fixed. Thanks for your cooperation.

I don't know either very well - We don't get a lot of them in the UK. What i have heard of Morrison was a little... excitable for my tastes. Dean Jones I like.

I miss Tony Greig. :(

Yeah same here, he was great.

Looking at mazd94's uploaded T20 video from this thread: https://www.planetcricket.org/forum...post-new-screenshots-video-only.109163/page-5

Overall, looks great - I noticed a lot more shot variety from the AI batsman compared to DBC17.

The main issue with AI batting seems to be missing easy singles; the last over of the AI innings was a great example of this (too many dot balls). I trust BA is aware of this and will fix in an upcoming patch.

Separately, I'm curious how AI chasing works - would be awesome to see a video of that.

What I would like over time maybe next or the next game is to have a wide cast of commentators, atleast one of each nationality, more lines. They need not be big tv names at all even fringe players or commentators of each nationality will add a lot of color to the game.

Also the style of commentary needs to change and adapt to video game more and cut down on obvious statements.

Another question say if i play a comp does the stats update then if i played a casual would it be the same stats for the player
