The game would usually have to be signed off by each of the 3rd party license-holders before release, so I'm sure it's not an issue: may be that they negotiated it as such, may be that they just didn't think about it. I'm just hyper aware of these things because they were the bane of my life for so many years! It might be that licensors just have a more relaxed attitude towards things now.

Thanks for this guys. I feel i can finally get excited about this game now that i have heard some positive feedback from forum members that i trust like Blocker, Dutch and Llewlynf.
My one question is about fielding. Can you choose which player fields in a particular position or is it random with quick bowlers in slips like DBC17?

It's not random but equally you can't place fielders in specific places.
But we have spent ages quibbling anomalies like fast bowlers in slips and captain in the boundary and we believe this is all resolved now.
I think for England and Australia, and non-licensed teams if you stick to Llewellyn's creations, you wont get this issue.

Many thanks. Apologies for being stat obsessed but...
Say I create a Test league and play 20 Tests (So not career mode). So Jimmy Anderson's base is what? 100 Tests and it becomes 120. The overall is base + earned but can I see a screen that just shows me Anderson's earned, so just those 20 matches? So I can clearly see players performances just for me?
I can't see an Earned only pic that LlewlynF is referring too.
And what about my custom league, is there a stats page within it exclusively for that tournament?

Base is what they start with. Earned is what they do in game.

The best setting will be whatever suits you mate. I think everyone in the beta plays slightly different, including use of sliders. That's part of the beauty.

Yeah I get it. many thanks. It's just the images show overall and base so earned has been added to the base. I can't see an image that just shows earned which is what I'm being fussy about.
Many thanks for all your info. I just like to have a clear image of how the players have done exclusively for me. When the players walk out in the footage it's their overall career stats which is great but if you can exclusively see earned on their player page that's great, or at least within a custom tournament as I intend to create Test, ODI and T20I leagues not just play one-off matches like I did on DBC 17 because the casual stat didn't save.
