Hey there!

I think my previous post got ignored
I was wondering about the rest of the rosters. The other unlicensed teams, will we be able to import the correct ones via academy?

Is it the same one from dbc17 or for this game we have a different one?

I apologize if I missed this part in case it has been discussed before.

Yes you can update other teams via user generated content

We’ve seen in past that academy has been release a few months before the actual release date of the game itself. This time it has not happened... Is there someone in the beta team who has created some teams that aren’t licenced? (For example; Pak, India etc.)

If not, I guess we’ll have to wait some weeks after the release date as well? @Llewelynf @Dutch @WealeyH

I have only one question. How AI bats to yorker length deliveries bowled on middle and off stump line because in DBC17 the AI batsmen getting bowled everytime if i bowl perfect yorker in all difficulties and it prevented me from bowling yorkers .Only bowled not even lbw. Its 10 out of 10 .No response from AI to defend yorkers. Except this bug DBC 17 is still good game.

I find it incredibly difficult to believe you were bowling the AI 10 out of 10 times on the highest difficult using yorkers

IMO it should be clear as water by now that Big Ant has gone the PES way regarding the non-licensed content (teams, kits, players etc. for teams other than Eng and Aus). I would expect "Get Best" to get you most of the major teams updated with creations from @Llewelynf and/or other preferred "content partners" if you will

That would be one of the key reasons (along with focus on Ashes license) that the academy hasn't been made available to all and sundry. Big Ant would prefer the initial "Get Best" to actually be the best teams in the academy than some poorly created, linked and over-powered players and teams you mostly saw in previous iterations. I would be more than shocked if the top Test teams (say India, SA, Pak etc.) aren't already created and ready for launch.

Not sure if this was a thing in DBC17 because I only olayed DBC 14, but in career mode in Ashes Cricket is there a button on the controller for "Simulate to Career Player" rather than having to click through the Start Menu?

Sorry to disappoint you, but that’s not the case. And there are other reasons for the Acadmey not being released yet

Wasn't that feature added in a db14 patch? Even if not, it was in 17 so I'm assuming it's in Ashes.

You mean academy related stuff no that won't carry over to Ashes.

But by it's very nature, the static cams are not like a telecast. There is no telecast with a static camera.

Could very well be the case but it would make a huge difference that the initial teams in the academy are realistic enough. At least the folks who download the teams initially won't come back complaining "Dale Steyn in my downloaded team was replaced by Tendulkar. Big Ant sucks!"
