This is it - Ashes Cricket (Beta Feedback)

I see from the videos that you still can't place particular players in fielding spots. Still seems like an automated thing. I could be wrong though. If not, that's a shame. Who fields what position is pretty essential in cricket, and I didn't quite like fast bowlers in slip positions with DBC 17.

I asked about this earlier in the thread i think. The feedback i got from the beta guys was that you can't place individual fielders exactly where you want them, but a lot of work has gone into how the AI chooses who fields where. No more fast bowlers in the slips etc. Sounds like it's been looked at so fingers crossed!

As far as I have read the beta testers did complain alot about this, and it has been refined as to which players end up where, but yes you still cannot place a specific player where u want him

That's too bad. Although, if it's been upgraded so the AI can make some good decisions, I don't think it'll be a major issue. Would have been a nice addition though.

EDIT: I asked this earlier but didn't receive an answer. I was wondering if perhaps now that the game is available to a few people. Does this have 2 broadcast cameras like DBC 17 or just the 'new' one that came in the latest patch with 17 that was a bit lower? Still trying to decide on whether to invest in this early on or not.

What criticisms have come out? I haven't been following those tbh - obviously as I have it myself.

1 I am aware of is the 2 wickets off 1 ball, which is such a rare occurrence and some stuff about commentary??

Anything else?

Let's be honest that's nothing.

So far the only piece of negative feedback I've come across is AI's running between the wkts in shorter formats. AI's running between the wkts is quite conservative and it leaves quite a few runs (singles and doubles) on the table. Other than that I haven't heard or seen any other criticism as the 2 wkts off one ball is more of an exception and "once in a blue moon" sort of occurrence.

This is already being looked at. It's a known issue where the outfielders walk in too far so if the AI crunch it they don't take the single.

That and also on the occasion when boundary riders tap the ball in, the AI batsmen don't take the 2nd run though it's on the offer. It's as if when the ball is tapped back the AI batsmen decide no additional runs need to be taken even though there's more than enough time to take an easy 2nd.

I don't have the game with me so far. But looking at all the vedios I must say when BA fix the AI taking singles issue it will be supper hard to beat the AI
But at the same time it will be so much fun. I am sure it will be fixed very soon

I guess it's a difficult balance. Make the AI running more aggressive and they might be getting another 50 runs per innings. Then a change to the AI fielding could lead to the user being restricted and all of a sudden the AI has a huge swing of runs in its favour. What are the totals like that the AI are getting?

Also, if I remember rightly, early after the release of DBC14 the AI had a tendency to run itself out. So they are probably trying to avoid that happening again.

More chances of getting run out wickets is always fun! I'm always up for a challenge... Hope they fix it asap.
