I have to agree HowZ4T - Its a bit too sudden and fast for my liking! Good presentation though and slow it down a bit! :)

Monday 26th March

So I turned up at the ground on Monday morning in my new Renault Clio. I might have been too hasty in buying it as I am behind on the rent of my flat, and the first payment is running me dry so I might have to sell it, which would be a shame. However money issues are nothing. I am more concerned about my cricket.

I walked into the changing room to see if the team was up for the match tomorrow. It was. I quickly looked through it.

Meet at the ground at 7:30am for warm up and briefing.

I had been picked :happy Not only picked, batting at number five. I assumed me moving ahead of Andy was due to my performance against Derbyshire. I was not surprised to see Matty had been left out as he was still struggling with his hamstring, and I expect the selectors didn't want to risk him. I walked through into the vid room to see a few of the guys in there. We chatted about our chances against Warwickshire. They seemed to be a lot stronger than Derbyshire with the likes of Giles, Knight, Bell and Streak playing for them. However we did have fortress Canterbury (:p) so we were confident. After a while the skip walked in:

Right boys as you see the team has been put up. Bad luck to those who haven't been selected, you'll get your chance as the season progresses. The main thing about Derbyshire to look out for is their bowling attack and their top 3 batsmen. If we can cope with these we should be fine.

I have spoken to the groundstaff and they fel the pitch is going to be quite firm, so we have opted for the spinner in this match. Jimmy you'll be key. Today we will work on our top order batsmen as that is what let us down against Derbyshire so myself, David, Martin and Darren are going to pad up, and the rest of you will be bowling at us. OK lets get out there."

The training session went well for us. Our batsmen looked in fine touch and were rarely dismissed giving the bowlers many problems. I was with Martin and Jimmy in my net and Jimmy bowled exceptionally well, giving Darren all sorts of problems.

After practice I had a shower and then headed back home for a bite to eat. I wanted to catch an early night as it was a big game tomorrow and I wanted to be in top condition.

in you first paragraph of this page you used "began" at least four times in as many lines.

Thanks will edit it

Tuesday 27th March

So it was match day. We were playing Warwickshire at home. I arrived at the ground after picking Cooky up from his house. It was still quite early but the Warwickshire boys had arrived. I went out to the middle to look at the square. The pitch appeared to be very hard, providing the bowlers with a lot of bounce. However it was very overcast so the fast bowlers would be looking for swing. I would probably have wanted to bowl first on this pitch, not because of the hardness, but I was worried about those overcast conditions.

I headed back into the changing rooms to find that Streak had delivered the Warwickshire team to the skip. It was as we expected a very strong team, with a lot of world class talent in there. Rob was giving us the pre-match talk.

"Right boys, this Warwickshire team looks very good. They have strong bowlers and batsmen, however if they are to have a weakness it is their middle order. If we can quickly get through the top order it should give us a massive advantage. I'm going out to do the toss, and I will bat first if we win, so David and Martin get ready, in case I win it."

As the skip left, we all rushed upstairs onto the balcony to watch the toss. We saw the captains shake hands and head back. Once again, skip made the batting gesture so that would be two matches in a row where we would be batting first. Hopefully, our openers could make a better start then last time. As Rob and David headed out to bat I had a bad feeling and decided I would have my pads near me just in case.

So it was 11:00 and our openers were out there batting on a pitch which might assist the bowlers just slightly more than the batsmen. Hopefully Rob and David could negotiate the new ball. I was ready just in case

another great update i wonder if you can survive the warwickshire opening bowlers it will be tricky no doubt!

Its going to be a very good game for the batsmen. It will definetely be difficult for you against the opening bowlers.
