Juande Ramos with the Spanish equivalent of the FA Cup

Juande Ramos has signed a four-year deal to become the new head coach of Tottenham Hotspur today. He replaces sacked Martin Jol and should lead them out in the first pre-season game of the season.

Ramos said: "It is a squad any coach would be excited to work with. There is the potential to achieve great things."

'' I know this squad is one of the best teams in Spurs' history and I would like to use it's full potential''.

'' My aim given to me by Dan is to try beat at least one of the big four once esp. Arsenal who are our enemies for that fourth spot but also Aston Villa are also a dangerous team who'll we have to fight off''.

Daniel Levy said: ''It is an huge honour for us to have acquired a great manager who will inevitably lead us to glory either in the Uefa cup or the premier league. Our main target is to get into the top four either this season or next. We hope Ramos can make a Spurs a better team in his hopefully successful four years.
