Wow, a very tight game which was quite unexpected. I didn't think you would destory Manchester City but thought you would comfortably beat them 2-0 or 1-0 but having the majority of the play. They played well though and deserved the draw.

Fantastic pres mate and love the story. Keep it up.

Arsenal 3-1 Sheffield United

Well it was an easy game at the end for the Gunners in their first home match of the season . Van Persie scored in the 36th minute . But Gillespie equalised in the 61st minutes . BUt then Hleb and Eboue scored in the last 5 minutes to give the home side all 3 points .

Aston Villa 2-0 Wigan Athletic
Villa Park

2 goal within the first 10 minutes from Barry and Carew were enough to see Wigan of . It was a dull match in the second half but VIlla fans were happy as their team gained all 3 points .

Everton 2-0 Blackburn Rovers
Goodison Park

Andy Johnson and Leon Osman scored as the Toffees registered yet another win but this time against Blackburn who real struggled today .

A 7 goal thriller which end quite one sided in the favour of Fulham . Collins John scored his hatrick supported by goals from Queudrue and Seol for Fulham while for the home side Mido scored the lone 2 goals ,

Portsmouth 2-0 Reading
Fratton Park

Hreidarsson was sent of after half hour for a poor challenge on Kitson . But 10 men Pompey were just 2 strong for the visitors . Goals from Diop and Defoe in the last 20 minutes ensured all 3 points .

T.Smith gave Watford the lead after 20 minutes . But Charlton made a great comeback by scoring 3 goals in the last 20 minutes . Jerome Thomas and B.Hughes were the gaol scorers who got the away side all 3 points .

West Ham United 0-3 Chelsea
Upton Park

One sided game as Chelsea completely dominated the home side . Shevchencko scored twice in the 21' and 90' and even Joe Cole scored just before half time in the 43' . But a major injury blow for Deco in the 62' minute and he had to be stretched off .

Liverpool 0-0 Bolton Wanderers
Anfield

It was quite a dull game as both the sides ahveing very less number of chances . Fernando Torres made a mess of 3 really great opportunities .

Manchester United 2-3 Newcastle United
Old Trafford

Yet another dissapointing loss for United but thi time at home . The macth got alive in the last 20 minutes as Albert Luque gave the visitors the lead in the 70' . But Saha and Carrick both scored to give United the lead . But then a volley from Milner in the 81' and stoppage time winner from Luque saw Newcastle taking all 3 points and United getting 0 points from their two games .

Tottenham Hotspurs 1-1 Manchester City
White Hart Lane

As expected the game was tight but there were chances for both teams to get all 3 points . Dimitar Berbatov scored in the 23' but soon Hatem Trabelsi equalised in the 87' and both the teams shared the points .

Wow some upsets there barring your game. Manchester United losing at home to Newcastle and even Bolton picked up a point against Liverpool in a dull game. Apart from that though all the games turned out the way they should of. Fulham won in a 7 goal thriller away at the riverside! They are always involved in big scoring games.

Love the pres and the story, Shantanu. Keep it up mate.

That's it! Fergie for the sack, bring me in there i'll change things. Great updates there Shantanu KUTGW.

Phillip Lahm Unveiled

Just 2 days to go and I had a couple of players to sell who I though were not needed . But the main headlines was the signing of Philip Lahm from Bayern Munich for 15.5m . I unveiled him in front of the press .

Philip Lahm who has proved his talent at the highest stage and I knew he was one of my best signings as I have my bets on this lad to take us places.

On introducing the soft spoken Lahm,

"I am absolutely delighted to get Philip wear a Tottenham Hotspur jersey and play here at White Hart Lane. Philip is one of the most precocious talents waiting to explode big time in the world stage. I am sure his stock will raise to unimaginable levels the same time next year. I really am backing Philip to show the might of his left boot in the EPL."
Lahm shared my optimism as he addressed the press

philiplahm9fc.jpg

"Ich bin dem Betriebsleiter und Anhängern von Tottenham dankbar, die Glauben an mich ausgedrückt haben. Sein eine willkommene Änderung vom kalten Wetter von Deutschland hier. Ich sprach mit Jurgen Klinsmann über Tottenham, und ich hörte wirklich gute Dinge über den Klub. So ja bin ich hier und schaue, um dem Klub seit langem zu dienen."

Translated...

"I am grateful to the manager and fans of Tottenham who have expressed faith in me. Its a welcome change from the cold Germany weather here. I spoke to Jurgen Klinsmann about Tottenham and I heard really good things about the club. So yeah, I am here and am looking to serve the club for a long time."

Well at the end I was happy with the way Geovanni Dos Santos performed as a striker and I decided to withdraw my plans of signing a backup striker .

Fantastic signing for Tottenham but is he really needed? He will definitly raise the quality at the club and should bring something different to the club.

Loving the story and the presentation, Shantanu. Keep it up :clap
