Brilliant start to the season. Jenas was immense, and good to see young Dos Santos settle into the Premiership so quick. Shantanu, doesnt CM07 start from mid 2006?

Great win there Shantanu! :)

Match Stats with Martin Tyler

To an outsider...this scoreline would have suggested an comfortable walkover for Tottenham Hotspur. But I would say not exactly. The both the teams had some number of shots goalwards and away from goal . I would congratulate Tottenham for playing at their best and destroying the home side .

Let's take a look at the stats.

3-5.jpg

Fulham had 4 shots on goal and one really good one that. Tottenham would have to thank Robinson for clearing that off the line. Tottenham were way better with their crosses, but Fulham's poor defending gave Spurs upper hand to dominate the game .

Both team stats look a bit similar... two quite evenly matched teams.

Now for the players...

2-19.jpg

For Fulham Lucas Hangeland was the best player on the field . He was the only highly rated fulham player. All the others had a poor game according to their high standards. Niemi was very poor in his keeping and so he let in 3 goals .

Paul Robinson
Match Rating 9.0
Man of the Match

For Tottenham, Robinson was outstanding and clearly deserved the Man of the Match award. Jenas , Modric , Malbranque , Keane , Woodgate , Hutton and Gilberto were impressive and deserved 8 at their match rating. Tottenham clearly was dominant upfront and Keane was spectacular while Berbatov and Dos Santos had a decent game . It was great team performance by the Spurs which would make Ambekar very happy .

At the end it was a complete easy win for the visitors and they win would give them a lot of confidence which they will take into the next match at home against Man City .

Good win for the Spurs. Good to see Liverpool winning comfortably as well, and Manchester United & Chelsea losing and Arsenal drawing! Great presentation. Keep it up!

What three upsets and it doesnt involve Liverpool!!!??

But thats okay, Rafa Benitez's side usually impresses in the start only to falter later on.

You got one thing Wrong Shantanu, Manchester United losing to Citeh! Great update KUTGW.

God, Championship Manager is the worst game ever! How can it possibly simulate Chelsea losing to Watford at home! :(

Unveiling Micah Richards

22.08.2006

I have started very well as manager with 1 away win first up. Next on the fixtures was the first home match of the season where we host Man City who had just beaten man United . That match will be very tough on as they will have a lot of confidence after beating arch rivals United

Meanwhile, we unveiled our main defender signing from Man City - Micah Richards.

Micah Richards spoke to the press after he was unveiled amidst much cheering from the fans.

"Its great to be here. I have enjoyed my game to the maximum extent at Manchester City. But I felt that I was missing playing in Europe. When I heard that Tottenham were interested, I had only one place to go - thats here"

I still have a potential headache - a backup Striker and a full back
