The League Table - August!

tablesmonth11pf2.jpg

I want to do the Hulas - literally. One of the three teams not to have lost and a clean sheet maintained. We are at the 4th spot and thinks are certainly looking up.

Upnext - Toon!

I glad this story is back. I haven't been able to think straight for days without it.....nah that's a lye but it's a good story anyway. I dont know what's wrong with Man United but maybe it's just becasue they dont have the managerial skills of a Bala and i hope Liverpool can pull their fingers out to move up the table. Everton sitting very nicely at the moment to.

Ha ha ha! Cheers mate! I hope Chelski follow ManUre and both get relegated! :p Wishful thinking :D

Nice to see Man United at the bottom. Seems like Punk likes it like this :D. More importantly it is good to see Everton at the top :).

When you said "The Toon" it reminds me of "Goal - the movie". I love how the guy in the movie says it.

:cheers

Message from the manager

Dear Everton fans

I am absolutely delighted at the way things have transpired so far at this great club. We are having a great unbeaten run and now are 4th in the league table. At this moment, I would like to thank every single one of you who have placed your utmost confidence on an inexperienced quantity like me to take the reins of our beloved club.

We will be facing the likes of Newcastle, Portsmouth and Chelsea in the coming weeks in the Premiership and Ajax in the Champions League. I am sure you all would make sure that your voice will be heard by the boys in the pitch. Thats what we want, thats what you defenitely will do, I am sure.

The new boys are enjoying their life as an Everton player. It might take a while for them to get accustomed but I am sure you will be treated to some quality football. Tim Cahill and Andy van der Meyde have recovered from their injuries and I can say I have the luxury of a full strength squad.

Though its early in the season, I can say the boys are performing well and we can only carry the good form on.

Onwards and upwards

Ramesh Balaji
Manager
Everton FC

Nice to see you care about the fans :)

Why did you let McFadden and Ferguson go?

Exactly! How dare they? They ought to rot at the bottom! :p

Cheers mate! I had to let big Dunc go as at 34 1.3 Million was a steal for him.

James McFadden was more of a winger and as I dont prefer the wide play, I had to let him go.

Thanks for all your support.

Cheers!

Souness writes of Everton

Prior to his team's Premiership match against Everton, Newcastle manager Graeme Souness has rubbished his opponents chances of winning the game.

sounessps7.jpg

Souness: Newcastle can be invincible.

The fiery scot rubbished that Everton do not play a positive game. "Of course! (We will win) There is no doubt about that. I can easily predict that the boys can win comfortably. Everton though is unbeaten, have scored just 3 goals in 4 matches and all by Beattie. The others have looked just incapable of scoring. All we need to do is hold him at a corner and attack.

Everton have been playing a very negative game, by putting a lone striker and cramming up the midfield. All they can manage to do is keep the ball there. But is that what a true football fan would love to see. I can see Everton taking the route Santini did at Tottenham. Of course, I can understand their manager's plan. He is new, no experience whatso ever. So he would be happy with a point wherever he can scrape one.

That would be a negative advertisement for the game. I just hope we get the game beyond the bore factor."

Newcastle United are currently 4th in the Premier League standings whereas Everton are 5th. Following Souness' comments, Everton manager Ramesh Balaji passed up his chance to retort. It would be interesting to see how the match transpires.
