Shock Announcement

Just before the 2007 World Cup, Pakistan's coach Bob Woolmer (RIP) resigned due to personal reasons. This left the PCB in a very difficult situation, needing to find a coach that will lead Pakistan to world cup glory. The former England batsmen, Geoff Boycott, has been selected as coach of Pakistan and is arriving with the team this very day. To many this appointment was a surprise, but Boycott had been working with the Pakistan batsmen in the last test series with India. He has a tough job on his hands, he needs to motivate the team quickly and get them well-prepared for the world cup.

His first task is to get them through the relatively easy group, which includes the teams:

West Indies
Ireland
Zimbabwe

The Pakistan squad for the upcoming tournament will be announced shortly, and we expect Boycott to be there at the announcement.
