I would get onto Garrick's secondaries as soon as possible. You'll be paying a very high wage for him, mostly because he's out/out, but he won't perform as well as he could because of those secondaries

Well his stats were a lot worse when I got him. I've rotated the training between skills but he's taken so long to pop in bowling/technique.

I've put him onto strength training to get his power up then rotate that with fielding and fitness for his endurance when he pops. He's only 22 so plenty of time to work on primaries later.
